This site suffers from the same thing the FoH boards suffer from. A clique of 6 to 10 people who dominate through quantity of bullshit arguments with each other often on subjects off the mark of the threads they are posting in. Eventually it devolves into frisbee tossing until they get bored and move on to another thread.

There are nuggest of value here and there, however once the usual suspects start trying to be cute for each other, that value gets lost under piles of shit.

Ya know, that reminds me...

"Social unacceptable behavior" is why people use message boards in the first place. If I wanted to be 100% social acceptable I may as well be working 80+ hours a week and just making retarded amounts of money.

Being social acceptable is all well and good in a real social enviroment, but this is the internet and supposed to be a fun game. Fuck regulating yourself.

Are you too dense to see the topic, which exists on practically every other class forum, was effectively quashed by folks that added nothing to the topic except to say it wasn't worth discussing in the first place? That those folks are all people you would expect to be at the tip of spear in such a discussion? Perhaps you are missing the point of this discussion in the first place. Go back to page one and return when you are less ignorant to the topic.

You'd be hard pressed to find a better example.
No one was flamed off the boards cuntrag. What happend was some people said hey this topic YOUR topic was stupid, which is probably was. Please pull your head out of your dads ass and read what I wrote just now, which IS an actual flame. If you think people get "flamed" off the boards for people saying the topic is stupid then please go find the nearest loaded shotgun point it at your head and pull the trigger, preferably someplace easy to clean up, like a river.

That only happens because idiots keep bringing them into the conversation.

Want proof, look at your post, you have invited the "usual clique" to bash you by talking negatively about them. You have nobody to blame but yourself.

Wow, that's a twisted statement. You know, some people come to message boards to talk and stuff, not to be socially unacceptable. You know, not everyone finds being an ass a fun game.

If you want to talk use tells, otherwise your asking for third parties to listen to/comment on your conversation.

Also, just because they arent what you deem social acceptable doesnt make them an ass. I choose to be an ass, there are plenty of people who are not social acceptable on these boards that I certantly wouldnt call an ass. Quit generalizing so much.

Self-moderation doesn't work. Either you moderate or you don't.

Please don't. Otherwise what would be the point of the site? Besides, the massive dramabomb you would create by actually moderating would be so much worse than just letting it be.

I think Ishbu is a wealth of good information and the fact that he can be an asshole just means he is human. So what? I think EQ2Flames flourishes because of what it is, and isn't just another NGD or Stratics.

It would be naive to think a site founded on providing haven to those that enjoy being an ass - wouldn't attract them in mobs. If you aren't one of them, you accept the risk of playing in the same pool with them.

Are we discussing the possible carebearification of the Flame site?

Bottom line is, you can't have it both ways, if this is to much for you, go back to the main forums IMO.
