I think Ishbu is a wealth of good information and the fact that he can be an asshole just means he is human. So what? I think EQ2Flames flourishes because of what it is, and isn't just another NGD or Stratics.

A wealth of information isn't an excuse to act like an ass. Flames has flourished but I think what LFG might be starting to realize is he is reaching the limits. Despite what the tin foil hats like to believe this isn't an official SOE affiliate site. Hell there is no such thing. LFG has gotten some respectability by checking people a few times and trying to straigthen things out.

This appeals to a certain type of poster and while the class section may be really helpful, all that is going to guarantee is people will show up when they want a question answered. THIS area is his high traffic point and what gets the most visibility and is where some of the stupidity occurs (I know this because I participate at times). I personally don't think self moderation will work here, but I understand what he's trying to do.

Here is the funny thing about a flame..

When u take things that people say about you personally is just wrong.. ishbu could call me a moron all day every day for the rest of his natural life. Does that make me a moron? If i chose to take that statement personally then perhaps i am a moron.. if i chose to believe what he says about me then perhaps i am a moron..

Frankly i could care less if one of the flaming elite calls me an asshole or a moron, if they can prove me wrong. Meh then i become better and stronger from it..

I use the message boards to be socialy unacceptable. I am a person. There for it is tru that people do in fact use the message boards to be socially unacceptable.

You said not everyone, key word everyone, uses them to be an ass inferring that everyone who does so socially unacceptably is an ass.
