Re: Denial of Service attacks resume
If all thats happening is it slows things down a bit just ignore it. Its not serious enough to warrant anything and if ignored it will go away.
Kind of sad really that this is that guy's best attempt and all he can do is slightly annoy things, the equivelnt to having to go to work when its raining outside.

I agree. They're attacking the site to provoke a reaction.
I don't really want to go into details outside of saying this attack causes no physical or monetary damage and can be executed without much computer knowledge from any location. This poses numerous problems that I'll just say we're looking into.
If anyone notices a problem and wants to report it I can be reached on AIM @ mtsu will or via email weyoung@weyoung.net

This, LFG, is why I think it's pointless to try and "negotiate" with "terrorists." Of course that term is used very very loosely. :p

Listen, this shit has been going on since December. It stopped for a while and now has started up again. I'm sick to fucking death of it. Your helpful advice regarding my state of mind, conduct, or response in this case is really not needed.
So thank you for allowing me to make posts trying to learn why someone is targeting this site. Nothing else has worked, I have nothing to lose by asking these questions.
Thank you very much.

I'd love to get an email from the attackers. Bring it on.

I'm not saying you can't let people know what's going on. But seriously, if he's doing it just to fuck with you or this site, unless he's incredibly fucking stupid, I don't think asking him "what he wants" is going to get you anywhere. The same thought that's been echoed by a few people already. I would hope law enforcement would be able to do something...

Don't lose your mettle if they attack again. They're just leaving a longer trail.
