Is there a large population of the Gamming community gay playing with their boyfriends?

Are there a large part of the eq players trying to get in touch with their feminine side?

Maybe trying to talk to some straight guy in to letting them get on their knees before the raid?

Really I don’t get it, I know I would feel uncomfortable running around pretending I was chick.

yes and it is playing what your not, in a fantasy world, but I dont know some how the whole cross gender thing to me is a bit odd.

I like to be able to relate to what I am playing and well, a dude relating to a girl is a bit homoish. Thats just my view

I know quite a few guys that have girl toons. Most of them have said that they just didn't want to stare at a guy's ass the entire time they were playing which is understandable. I've never known one to pretend to be a girl though. Those people are just messed up.

Edit: Oh, and Stink, I am a girl who plays and I wasn't talked into it by my boyfriend/husband. As a matter of fact, I haven't been able to talk him into playing. Some of us have enjoyed playing games since we were kids and have just never outgrown it hehe.

I have 5 level 70 characters and there all male gnomes / ratongas. Does this mean I have a cheese fetish? No it means I like the character model.

No it means I'm playing an online game to have some fun. I didn't descide to generate a character that represents me RL.

Personally I think it's more bazaar when I see a human character with a name like TimmyB and then find out there real life name is Timmy.

There are a few reasons why people play female toons.

A) stupid people like the original poster who probably see a female toon and end up giving them coin/items, etc
B) Some dudes just like looking at a hot female avatar instead of a man toon.
C) The dude loves the cock.
D) They got the toon from a friend. thier kid or significant other made it etc.
E) WTF cares unless yoru trying to pick up the female online and cybor. In which case go outside find a bar and hit on every chick in the bar.

I have a few guy toons and a few girl toons. It's a video game. If some dude is playing a girl toon and tries to pass off as a girl irl, that is obviously fucked. It's equally fucked if some guy is all butthurt about a guy playing a girl toon because they are trying to get some video game ass.

The person that said everyone in this game is a guy until proven otherwise is a smart person. Assume 100% mangina factor and you'll never be disappointed or embarassed. Vent / TS speaking is adequate proof. Anything else is creepy. Beware the girl toon with a broken mic on comms.

As a female (Yes I talk on TS), I find it kinda offensive, because to other girls it's usually REALLY FUCKING OBVIOUS. We know what girls act like, especially with other girls. I have known a lot of guys in RL that played female characters... some RPed as a girl, others didn't. The female characters in EQ simply look better than the guy ones do (elves for example, 90% of the male elves you see out there look distinctly gay/feminine... nothing wrong with it, but a lot of guys don't like that look, better to just be a female).

I think a lot of people RP as girls because they think/know they'll be treated differently. To some extent, it's true, but I think what some guys don't realise is, people will like you REGARDLESS OF YOUR GENDER if you're a fun person. A lot of people RP simply because they can.


If you're ever in doubt about someone claiming to be female, just ask another girl that's spent some time around them. Chances are, they'll know.

To each their own, I suppose. I don't have an issue with dudes playing chicks, its just not for me. My main toon was a dwarf, goddamnit, and no matter how hot a chick with a beard may look....I seem to have lost my train of thought.
