It could be a naming violation or something. Call customer service, and clear up with them. I know Simon couldn't take the free transfer (during free transfer week) until he called them.

If you only checked via eq2players, you might try making a toon on the new server with the name to really verify there's no naming violation.

SoE has created such a lovely programming feature called "ghost mail". With this lovely enhancement to the game even if you have 0 mail in your mailbox you may have "ghost mail" that only GM's can see.

Rather than:

A. Wipe everyones ghost mail during maintenance and prevent it from happening ever again.

B. When you apply for the transfer a script runs that deletes it for you

You must file a petition with the best customer service in the business and have someone in India delete it manually for you.

Let's all make an expansion!

Its not your fault, SoE will generate more money from an expansion rather than devoting any time fixing flaws in its current or even prior ones.

Sure stuff gets fixed day to day but this issue has existed since day 1 of the character xfer service. Any bugs that exist since day 1 of something that continue on past 365days are complete bullshit.

The saga of customer (no) service continues...talked via chat with tech Alvin D who told me he would send me a list of requirements I must meet in order to transfer a toon, to which I replied "I am not an idiot, I read the site and have done all of the above".

To which he replied, as if he didn't even listen to what I said "I'll email you that list mmmkayy? Is there anything else I can do for you at his time...mkayyyyy?"

It's been 24 hours. No email so far. So today I tried to call their line in San Diego....on my fucking dime as you know...and was on hold for a half an hour before I gave up.

You think it would behoove them to make transferring a piece of cake as it is an extra 50 bucks in their pocket each time.

But what the fuck do I know...I'm the rube that doesn't understand the req's. to move a toon even though I have read it 10 times and have a college degree.

This just keeps getting better and better...finally got the transfer done (can't have anything on the broker, even if it is not for sale and must remove boxes). So I reach my destination and all my shit in my house is GONE! No little moving box, not jack shit.
Amongst the items in the 5 room house were the baby dragon, the crib and the piano.
W T F!!!!!!!!!!!! Filed a petition - what are the odds I am gonna get screwed on this deal?
