For me, tradeskills are more of a time sink than a money sink. I forage my own raws for the 4 tradeskillers and tinkerer (that will be 70 by the time RoK comes out), unless I can get raws for 2c on the broker.

If you're a TSer that needs those "Succelent Roots", it's a real hard tier to get through and you either are at a standstill with that tier or spend an obscene amount of gold/plat buying them.

Oh, I agree that T6 roots are a PITA. I ended up leveling 4 tradeskillers and 1 tinkerer with crap I have saved over these years in boxes on 6 toons. I supplied several other guildies with raws over the years, too.

My trick for T6 raws (roots): head out to SS, hop on over to the 2 islands and pray nobody else is around, and just loop around and around the islands. I pick up everything there, because my woodworker and provo can use the stuff there. I have another friend who can use the leather, so I find a home for that stuff. I don't need rock forages anymore, because my alchemist and jeweler are now both 70. If I felt the crazy need to level up a weaponsmith or armorsmith, I have a ton of metals stored away.
