Everyone saying they should raise lvls on old content or bring back old content in some form need to die in a fire. Seriously.

We haven't been playing for 3 years to allow them to slap on a lvl increase and re-sell it to us as "new" I want new shit. new content.

Ummm, I hit it in I believe 12 days during a full time Army tradoc environment. I was doing 15 or so hour days at work and I made 70 in 2 weeks or less I don't remember the exact amount of time. My 10 day at 3-4 hours a day is probably a little exagerated, but seriously, its not hard at all. 2 weeks with any effort whatsoever. It should be a shit-ton harder than that.

Grinding levels is probably what people hate the most and you want it to take forever... that is what I find so out-of-touch. If I ever endorsed it in any way in the far past, I deeply apologize and repent of my wickedness. :P

There is "taking forever" and there is "stupidly easy." It took me about 10 days to get from 60-70 AND earn 50 AA's on my necro when i came back. Compare that to the 5-6 weeks or so it took me to get 50-60 on the same character, with a steady group and somewhere in the vicinity of 8-10 hours a day. I actually kinda LIKED the 50-60 grind when it first came out (tho for alts 2-??? it sucks). Sure it can get boring having to grind levels, but having it take a week or two is making it nothing more than a formality. I wouldn't mind something like a 3-4 week grind for fast levelers, making the casuals take about 2 months to get there.

It should be the same result as anthing else in the game should be, but it won't.
It should be time in + effort = more results.
Instead, I see it being time logged in + afk = same results as above, thereby securing the fact that casual players will ding 80 in a rough equal footing as hardcore players.

And Illum, not everyone hates grinding. I personally don't find much more in this game more satisfying than grinding. Levelling up is fun, progressive, and its what EVERYONE dictates as success in an RPG.

I've been told that the best and most social PvP MMO of all time wasn't held back by levelling. It's just a vertical, obsolete paradigm, a box that plenty RPG designers refuse to think themselves out of.

I just came back from a 6 month lay off.

I was hoping perhaps they would actually add some more group/solo content for lvl 70 players.

Well what did i find?

Unrest. Fun once. Not all that keen to go back to be honest.
Darklight Woods/Neriak. Awesome looking zones, great detail. Would have been a great addition to the game but sadly its for lowbies and i don't give 2 shits about alts.

The single biggest reason why people quit this game is because there just simply isnt enough to do. You can try and debate that fact all you want but its true and its been that way since tier frickin 5.

You can have all the raid zones/contested mobs you want but that doesn't appeal to everyone. But im not even talking about raiding since i've hardly done anything in EoF so its not my place to comment on that. But i see the same stuff now as i did 2 years ago. Bored people with nothing to do standing/jumping in QH. Sony needs to do more to bring people together and make instances that are actually fun and worth doing more then once or twice.

And stop making lowbie content. Theres fuckin enough of it already. It doesnt take long to get to 70 and when people do they will either join a raid guild or quit the game due to boredom. Fuck alts, give me something to do on this toon that ive put thousands of hours into. If i wanted to make an army of alts i would have already.

Well that post of mine there turned into a 5:25am sleep deprived rant didn't it?

I started playing this game on day 2 of release and from the time i hit 50 until now i've always felt that its just lacked something to truly make it a really good gaming experience and be more of a commercial success.

Im not even sure what im trying to get at here.... But Sony will hopefully add content to the game that will bring each server together and make it more of a "community" of players rather then just individualist stranger guilds.

I completely agree with this time frame and I'm one of those casuals (well, for the most part). Except, I don't want to grind. I have to agree with Illuminator there. I want there to be plenty of interesting quests, instances and overland areas so that it doesn't feel like a grind. Maybe I just want too much.

I hope, as a previous poster suggested, that they use 2 zones for the new race (1 city and a 1 - 20 leveling area) and use the rest for 70 - 80 content.
