The name of a prominent level 60 Guild on Lucan D'lere has been taken away by the GMs.

The guild was just over 1 year old when this happened.

The guild has 94 unique accounts with 270 characters.

The guild has more than 800 worldwide item discoveries.

The name was changed - more than one year after formation - from "Por Le Me Rite" to "Placeholders".

The original name has not been restored despite numerous protests, petitions and phone calls.

What is so offensive/against the rules about that name? Someone must have come up with one hell of a creative story to get it changed.

On a related note, some jacknut petitioned my alt guild's name, so now Smut Peddlers is known as Shoe Peddlers... jackass.

I found this http://www.pourlemerite.org/ but still have no idea what the organization actually does hehe.

Our guild name was changed not too long ago as well. In our case, it was a former disgruntled member who knew what the guild name meant that petitioned. I'm betting that's probably what it was in this case too.
