i personally helped clear the adds for disso. yes, i was a plat whore, a mercenary and a willing participant. as i can't at the moment engage an encounter of that magnitude, and cannot watch other guilds on my server encounter that mob except for the one i aided, imho props to all guilds who have beaten the encounter. by all accounts, whatever server it happenned upon, it took perseverance, tenacity and pinache. it's all well and good to contest for mastery, i appreciate that ( it does make good drama) but truly gratz to those who did.

assisted adds or not, the mob was engaged from a certain perspective. to beat the mob and the adds is admirable and the outcome can be random; well and good and gratz on the kill. to engage the encounter with a diff strat, a diff perspective , whatever it may be, shows creative thinking. and that is the key to victory imo.

yes i made a pretty penny, yes they killed the matron ( not for the first time), but early on in the game the money became incidental and we just wanted to see them overcome, see how it was done, to see someone do it.

the lvl you elite guilds operate is a competative and personal one to be sure, for good reason. keep it up, it makes good reading. but there are many ways to skin a cat from any point of view, and if you've skinned the cats that are the hardest to skin gratz.

i understand the topic, and am not trying to contradict it, just expressing a point of view on it . flame away.
