Default Moving to PVP test.

As we all know you can copy your PVP characters to PVP test to allow for greater testing of the content and I was wondering why players from PVE are not allowed to copy their characters to PVP test. It doesn't seem like it would be that hard to enable/code for and it would allow for greater testing of the content overall as I am sure a large # of PVE players would love to test the game on a test server but don't want to level characters on a test server.

It might just be me but it seems like a win win situation for all involved.

Honestly, I think the best solution is for an additional test server that allows transfers

you dont know the number of times i have /feedbacked this when a GU came out that had a ton of shitty changes/additions/bugs/"special new features" that should have never made it past test. it gets my vote hands down

I agree with Slippery, everyone who really wants to test the changes can transfer over to a new fresh server with copied toons and it won't mess up the economy or add any super buffed up random raid guilds killing their current contested or anything with the current test server to make them unhappy. The only real issue with this is the test server may not see as many new people who acutally decide to stay on test, but that's really about it imo. Possibly something to consider in the future.

Play on a regular server, and give most everyone in game the ability to test upcoming material( more hardcore guilds that have in the past given good feedback and very helpful imput on items and content) so we wont have bugged items , classes , or aa's that stay broken till the next expansion almost. Although items are usually fixed in the next LU this wont happen because it will be fixed before it hits servers.

Well it makes sense to have something akin to how the beta servers work, a server that allows testcopy or buffing when new content comes out, and then gets wiped until the next update. That allows for specific testing of certain items.

The only concern is that this server might get overloaded because everyone would want to see the new content, sometimes not out of any concern to test but just curiosity.

In the meantime I've taken the other option - level the dang toon on test. Yeah it takes my time and I won't be well geared but sitting around hoping that they might implement another option isn't going to catch any bugs.

Grats, considering that's NPU, the dev's fucking lovechild of beta testing, next to SD.
