Re: EQ2 Dev chat log [ 12Jun2007 ]
Fucking gay that the people asking questions put there own questions in there, and they are about TSKills....guess what, nobody fucking cares.
Jesus the people who run these fucking interviews are idiots.....but of course they get to run them, they don't challenge the devs on shit.
So how about it devs - how about an EQ2 Flames sponsored DEV Chat - we can presubmit the questions so you don't get stupid shit like:
ZOMG why can't I WTFPwn so and so, etc....
...but at least they will have some meat to them, unlike the joke these IRC chat things have became.

I spit soda...lol.
(Calthine) Klathar from Kithicor asks: Is there more they can tell us about the new raid zone the Throne of New Tunaria? Where does it fit on the EoF progression in respect to EH and MMiS?
(Lyndro) First raid difficulty is kind of a difficult thing. Whenever you have a raid with tricky mechanics, its hard to gauge exactly where the difficulty falls in comparison to other raids around the same level.
(Lyndro) That being said, it should be around the same difficulty as the last floor of Emerald Halls, with rewards of similar power.
<--- Klathar from Kithicor
From my understanding there were some extenuating circumstances surrounding the chat. I've honestly been to probably a dozen of these now and...I'd say 2/3 of these were on par with what are normally seen.

Re: EQ2 Dev chat log [ 12Jun2007 ]
The only thing that pisses me off about tradeskills is the lack of creativity with the difficulty.
If I make a casserole the first time, I expect it to be difficult to complete to Pristine. If I make it 30 times, it shouldn't give me any difficulty what so ever. The fact that it does makes the whole TS process mind numbing.
And these have to be some of the stupidest questions I've ever read. Hardly any of them had to deal with real issues that we're dealing with. Character class change? Who the fuck cares? If you're consistant with it, you can get to 70 in a month. If you really want to reroll your class that bad, then just fucking reroll.

Again - that is why I think we should have an EQ2 Flames sponsored Dev Chat

Yep, I agree. It's time they started answering the tough questions. I think the devs got off easy for this.

Chats are a lot of work to put together. LFG's chat couldn't handle 200+ people showing up for it. It's the same reason Ten Ton Hammer doesn't have chats like that.
Why don't you guys put together an EQ2 Flames Q&A for LFG to submit? Pull all your most burning questions (no pun intended) together, categorize them into art, abilities, zone design, combat mechanics, etc... and have him ask them.
Now be warned Q&A's take a long time to get done because of how many people they have to go to, but it might get some of your questions answered.

Anyone remember when Calthine went to that "conference" with our questions?

Re: EQ2 Dev chat log [ 12Jun2007 ]
I think the idea for an EQ2Flames Q&A is a good one. I have to work today, lemme think about it and I'll try and post something later.
Thanks
