Doesn't even have to be an open QA thing like IRC chat. There could be a forum here call "Dev Question of the Week". Each week post one question, lock all replys to SOE User Group, and hopefully the answers would come in since several of them are registered here.

I was thinking use the soe rng to choose the person who will provide the question each week. That way it'll be the same person every week.

Yes. Yes it is. The image you have in your head is *totally* fucking skewed.

SOE held a summit meeting for "community leaders". Not just fansites. Not just fans.

They invited the fanboys, the *haters*, and some of the people from the fansite community. It wasn't a bunch of people trashing each other's site and e-peening about numbers.

The ONLY reason you see Radar addressing "Kendricke" on here is because Kendricke repeatedly came off as miffed that a representative from EQ2 Flames was invited, and had a "look down on that kind of site" attitude.

It wasn't a flame of Kendricke, who despite having a *really* arrogant persona is actually quite intelligent and comes up with REALLY good questions, but a simple fact pointing out that Cal put up with a lot of flak for backing this site.

The summit had nothing to do with fan sites or numbers or anyone being "better" or worse. We were all equals and we were all treated equally.

Maybe you should learn about what you speak of before you throw out bitter half-assed assumptions.

Roger that, it's not a conference like the World Health Organization might host, or a congress like the International Mathematics Congress, or a convention like E3, or a seminar like OPEC's; it's a summit like, say, G8.

I was just slightly baffled that someone is taking flak for representing a fan forum and whimsically considering how such a circumstance might arise. I certainly do not wish to diminish your pow-wow with SoE. On the contrary, I'm glad someone's out there hashing out the important issues.
