Regardless of motives, he did do the right thing, he was actually honest to the person about it even because I am sure he really wanted to keep it, but fear won over greed (as it does in alot of people) and the end result (which is really what matters) was he gave the spell up.
sure we'd all like to believe that we are all happy shiny cookie eating love muffins, but in reality those people generally get fucked/stomped on and the fear/greed crowd moves on. |

No where in his story did the necro even speak up about needing the master. In fact, he didn't seem to even fuss that this other guy won. The others didn't roll, but if the necro didn't say shit, they're stupid for not rolling. In a PUG, I roll on EVERYTHING that is tradeable, I don't give a shit who's in the group. If you need it, SPEAK THE FUCK UP, i'll give it to you. But to presume they need it and click decline is stupid. |

I would do unspeakable things for my main char masters that I wouldn't do otherwise. I don't regret that it's been an eternity since I either grouped or raided with another wizard.

Couldn't agree more. Also, I really hope the OP asked if the necro actually needed that m1. I didn't see that in the post anywhere. If they don't speak up its usually because they have it already. If you traded that and they didn't need.....that shit would be too funny. |

If it is something they can use to make them better I have no probs giving it up. If its for an alt, tough shit.

Yeah, that was almost what i was going to say hurri. Thats how my group of friends roll. If its not no-trade, anyone who wants it for whatever reason rolls on it. If its an upgrade for someone right now, speak up and it gets traded to you. It takes too much fucking time to inspect every piece of loot that drops and wait for everyone to chime in whether they need it or not. Oh, and BTW, if someone needs something like a master for an alt, and no char thats currently in the group needs the item, they get it for the alt.
No-trades are the only time that gets jacked up. If you don't need and/or can't use a no-trade item, you decline, if no one takes it, we re-loot and FFA (If we don't have an xmuter in the group that is, in which case it gets muted and we /random for the result).
What davd did was fine. He gave it up cause the necro needed it.
