It's just something that needs to be done since players have that uber gear over there which they are enjoying just a tad bit too much. As a bonus though it probably won't get wiped tomorrow but more likely sometime later this week.

Once they are wiped you are free to copy back over. I turned on the dual wield changes today for some last minute testing of that and its effect on pvp. So feel free to try it out tonight and tomorrow.

Just think about this please - one server where people can log in and ten minutes later have some of the best gear in game.

No need to raid, ever, no need to do quests, no need to level, it's just pure bedlam, smack talk in /ooc, and people running down the beach like they just flipped someone off on the highway. This environment, if made permanent, could likely draw a large number of new weekend warriors to EQ2 - it's all action and no work. Think of it as a testosterone nirvana, the ultimate anarchy in an online game. This environment, truly, is what the arena was meant to be but never became.

The fact that people ARE enjoying it a tad too much means something. Confined to this one server, I think you have a home run here.

Please reconsider - if leaving the beta buffer on PvP test isn't going to increase your costs, but could likely draw new subscribers to the game just for this action, isn't that a good thing?

So lemme get this straight.

Players love this new thing and you are gonna get rid of it.

I'd love to see the rational behind this since you will gain subscribers to a game that does 0 advertising and is getting its ass kicked by everything but Hello Kitty.

It doesn't make sense but thats what SoE is all about. Way to lose some revenue. Unless of course you guys are planning on making it a PvP Station Exchange server where you pay $500 and get a god toon. Cats out of the bag.

People aren't going to subscribe people they heard the PvP test server was giving away good gear~

If they actually did create a server with the same benefits though, that is something different~

People play these games, and PvP especially, to get an intense thrill and adrenaline rush that isn't otherwise possible without endangering your life.

That is what people on PvP test are experiencing now, without the six months to a year it would otherwise take to get there on a similar toon.

PvP test is a closed environment, in that it can't leak over to other servers. But make no mistake, people are getting big thrills there they would not otherwise be able to enjoy but for the PvP beta buffer and that uber gear.

Everyone wins (even the people who get owned, like me) - new players and people from PvE servers can take out frustrations and try PvP at a high level, and people from Nagafen can come over, laugh at them and in many cases own them.

What's not to like?

Are you legitimately fucking retarded? That is a serious question. If anyone can get full pvp set gear and eof set gear for just creating a character, then what is the point of the rest of the game? There is none.
