Default Serious issues with the EQ2 Interface

I have two really serious issues with the game client that have just gotten beyond old.

Right clicking anything should not bring my game to a screeching fucking halt while it tries to figure out what is one the menu.

Dragging an item should not bring my game to a screeching fucking halt because it can't figure out what the fuck to do.

This is definitely an issue and really needs to be fixed.

Maybe it's because you have a bad computer

First time I have ever heard of this issue, time to upgrade your rig?

I use to have this problem on my old computer, then i got a gig more and it went away. You just need more memory.

Yep. I'll agree with this. My old rig, the gerbils were crying for me to just shoot them. So I did and got a new computer. Makes a WORLD of difference.

Its not the rig. I have a 3 month old computer that was just about as good as you could get at the time, and I get the lag when I right-click for a menu. I have found, tho, that it only happens the first time I try when i start a gaming session, or if I haven't opened a right-click window in a long time, if I try several in a row, it works fine. No idea what the problem is, but it definitely isn't my rig.

I have noticed both versions of the problem. It used to happen all the time on my old computer but since I upgraded a bought one w/ 3x the RAM i haven't had the problem since. However, I did always have the issue with it only once per gaming session. Once I waited the 30 seconds or so it took to open a right-click menu I was able to do it the rest of that session unless I switched characters or LD'd afterwards.

EDIT: a quick fix that might help a bit would be to go in to the Task Manager on Windows and set the priority for EQ2 to High if you haven't done so already

Problem is with eq2maps, possibly all custom UIs, but when i got rid of eq2maps for a week it went away. Then i put it back because eq2maps > all. Then i upgraded to 2gigs and it went away agian.
