It is intentional, the quest journal basically says that PH will count now.

lol, ph credit

That's gotta be the funniest thing I ever heard in this game.

EDIT: This questline is setting some bad precedents. Rather than intelligently addressing past questing concerns, it seems to be insecurely handing everything away. Epic weapon questlines in RoK, be warned.

I think killing PHs should give a CHANCE of updating the quest, and names a full 100% chance to get the update. Camping names for hours and hours on end is no fun, and doesn't add a challenge, it's just annoying as fuck. But then on the other hand, just killing the PH or some random thing that might have the same name as a ph, is a little too easy.

But honestly, not everyone's going to be happy. Some people are happy it's this way, some ppl want it the name camping way.

I'm happy. Screw camping named in a zone notorious for lag. Screw camping named in a zone notorious for training even if unintentional (btw thx for those mechanics SOE). Screw camping named period.

I dont want anything handed to me on a silver plate, I just have no patience for standing around in a room for hours on end trying to pop something. Since when is a game not supposed to be fun? The difficulty in quests is supposed to be figuring them out, not timesinks.

Almost everyone (including myself) bypasses that difficulty by using EQ2i or Allakhazam. We choose to remove the difficulty. So if you want difficulty then figure out the puzzle on yer own, but dont throw timesinks into the mix.

This questline was an abomination from the start and the quest designer needs a serious rethink about what constitutes fun. Personally, as mentioned above, anything that get's this fucking mess over with is fine by me. Camping nameds in Lagmore castle with a billion other groups? Fuck that for a game of soldiers.
