Re: SOD Questline
I gotta go with the fuck camping crowd. Making people wait hours on end for some named pop in a laggy as fuck zone where training is common as hell...yeah, thats dumb as hell, sorry. I like a quest with some genuine difficulty to it myself, but using camping to make things 'more difficult' is never, never was, and will never be a valid way to add difficulty since all it does it make things annoying and unfun, which defeats the entire purpose of the game in the first fucking place.

So basically, most people in this thread want instant gratification for everything they do in this game.

Or maybe they prefer challenges over mindless timesinks.

Timesinks are challenging. They test your dedication. Not dedicated enough, you don't finish the quest. Plus, a timesink is needed in this quest someplace. Now without the timesink, the quest-line could probably be done in about 8 hours if you can get both updates from Acadechism.

Re: SOD Questline
I don't mind camping, but not for a quest. That seems almost counterproductive.

Re: SOD Questline
If you don't want to invesst time, why are you playing a MMO? There are a lot of offline games with a similar theme...go play like, Fable on the XBOX~.

I'm quite okay with investing time into something, if it's enjoyable and challenging. While I'm sure there's people that enjoy it, killing the ph for the 67th time isn't something I particularly enjoy.
And while Pinski might be correct in that the endurance test of time is a challenge, it sure as hell isn't one I find enjoyable.
But that's just my opinion.

We had a person finish it the night it went live and started part 1 two days before gu36. It took one long day w/o a quest spoiler to do this quest. Was that really to long ?

That's not a timesink. That's a delay. That's like saying DoF had a 10 month timesink, KoS had a 16 month timesink, and EoF had a 24 month timesink. That's not a timesink.
