Ok, I admit that templars can get over 100-200 DPS, sure.. But if I see a templar out DPS a defiler I think I might cry....? Is this just a guess, or do we have parses to back it up? If it's possible then I'd love to know how so I can give our templars help.

Templars doing DPS in the MT group isn't really that hard it seems. Before EoF came out, I never actually tried because it was tedious. Then I got a G15 keyboard and made a DPS macro that casts 7 spells in sequence. Tediousness gone. Though the trick is to put gaps in the macro so you can queue a heal in if you need to.
Anyhow, I think the best I can do is a bit over 1400 DPS with my pet hammer up. If I do horrible or have to heal a lot during trash, I should get at least 500. I don't try during named unless we're in Lyceum or something silly. So for named I do 0-150.
Keep in mind that I never ask for DPS buffs, I do not even give myself my +crushing buff, or 128 STR buff. When I DPS, I don't do it at the expense of others, and I still do well. I have some minimally crappy DPS gear like the melee proc earring(collection) or a flowing black silk sash. My DPS jewel is of course my Vraksakin Claw Club. It has a nice spell proc, and with high melee crits it does well. Though I can only do that well with a berserker. Guardians don't have berserk procs.
Doing DPS as a Templar is partially gear(2h weapon), and a great amount from AAs. You can't get 3 steps down an AA line without tripping over a DPS AA for clerics, but some work better than others depending on what you do.
My favorite fight to do DPS on is Othysis Muravian. She never hits hard aside from her 30s nuke, and you actually try to strip aggro from her... so the tank doesn't get hurt much. The add healers get the actual work with the adds doing more damage than anything else. If things don't get out of hand, and I have to start helping the add healers, 1200-1400 is normal when I use a Ro blessing. If things go well, I get 6-10th place in parses... I don't know what everyone else is doing... may be trying not to die.
If you want specific advice on making a DPS Templar, look up some of Kendricke's posts on the SoE forums. I doubt anyone else has tested more on the subject, despite him not being a top end raider(I don't think).
And because everyone seems to whine about no parses being shown:
