Seriously, wtf is the point of having a poll? All it comes down to is a popularity contest. It just seems to me that LFG wants to difuse responsibility so he doesnt seem like an asshole for removing someone from being a class mod.

No offence to you LFG... but this should be your decision. Just think, would you really want someone to edit your post to make fun of you just because you arent xx class?

Also to ishbu, i agree with you that dumb shut shouldnt be posted in class forums, and pointless posts can be deleted to save people time from reading BS. But this isnt that case here, deleting is one thing, editing is another.

I've always tried to run the site based on majority rules, while giving the minority due process and a right to be heard at minimum.

Seems to me most of the vocal dissent in this situation is from the guild Revelations on Unrest. Just pointing that out, nothing else intended by my comment.

My goal in doing all this was to establish precedent for handling future complaints like this based on this case, while trying to assure everyone involved that they really weren't being stifled or silenced on this site.

Ultimately, it is your site, LFG. And if you think the mod deserves another chance, it's your call. Not many admins actually take the time to listen to their posters, so you're always going to be a step ahead of most.

And I'm sure this is new territory for you, too. It's not like this came with a fucking manual on how to run a forum site properly. Trial and error, that's the way it works.

This Slix person (or however you spell the mod's name) should be on tight reins for a while, though.

You see nothing wrong with a popularity contest when morals come into play? How many people do you think even read before they voted yes/no. Slix may be uber, may know the class well, but childish things like editing someones post to make fun of them doesnt represent leadership quality.
