Firstly, if everything is as stated in this forum, that was a gross abuse of power on the mods part.

Secondly, LFG, your Defending the mods actions by saying 'it's the fury class forum, your main is not a fury' is complete and utter bullshit. I played a conjuror since day one of EQ2, my second toon was a fury, third Monk, and one I started playing 3 months ago was a Defiler who is now my main. So you're saying I can't visit the Conjuror Forum and offer my TWO+ YEARS worth of experiance? Bullshit... Are you saying that just because my Fury was never my main, I don't have any insite to offer about the class? Bullshit...

I don't care WHO the forum mods are or what guild they are with. NPU people arn't better than Disso people. Raiders arn't better than Non-Raiders (Though we are better than RPers) The Mods are just like every other one of us that make this site what it is. That being said they can get flamed for their actions just like every single one of us, as this thread proves.

I don't think the mod needs to be removed, I don't think there should be any reduction in mods powers, I don't think there should be any change in the policies of the site. But I do think that there needs to be an admitance of wrong doing from LFG and an apology from the Mod.

Whatever blood pact LFG would have with disso sure has manifested in a parculiar way. I have at one time been perma banned from this site and regularly have had posts removed from anything on calling people out for being trannys and making direct conversations with devs shortcomings that would be considered less than cordial.

Ideally no post imo should ever be deleted under any circumstance, but i do know that the class sections are a bit of a gray area. The class sections are meant only to be an informational tool. 90% of Ash's posts in particular made no bearing on the discussion except to call people poopie faces or post just other random phrases. Throughout the entire discussion he made not one reference to anything that furies do or can do. IMO i dont think any of his posts should have been deleted b/c there was not one person in there that did not realize how much of an utter joke he was.

The problem with the class sections is that they are in fact meant to be an informational tool and ash was in fact not only adding nothing to the conversation, but was hindering it.
I can see how someone first using this site in that manner would have a tough time to sort through all of your shit and why it would need to be removed. The stuff that was deleted really had no impact on the conversation at all so the thread really is the same except a bunch of 1 sentence posts.

You have a right on this site to call people what you want. The problem with you is ash is that you are not overly smart and can not back up anything you say. All he did was spam the channel. When i proved people lied about buffs, removed encounters from the parse and presented how there were inconsistentcies with combat times i pulled the fuckstick card b/c well the entire thing was BS. The difference between me and you as a player is that I have taken that extra bit of effort to acutally understand the why, whats, and hows.

I didn't make this post as a way to file a formal complaint. This is the first time I'd seen one of my posts edited, and at first I didn't know who had done it or why. I was creeped out (thinking my account might have been hacked or something), but once I saw it was Slix I thought it was pretty funny. Especially considering that a few pages later Razieh and I covered the same topic he was "flaming" me for, or making it look like I flamed myself.

This started on the Unrest forums, and it was LFG's decision to move it to General Gameplay. Any time there's an abuse of power it raises questions on what powers have been given to people, and who those people are. Honestly I don't care about any of that, I just thought people should know what they might be dealing with when posting in the forums. I don't like the idea that I have to not only worry about people misinterpreting my posts, but now directly altering them because they don't like me personally. It's disturbing, but at least I'm allowed to mock them for it in public.

I still think the bigger issue is that in order to have more people use this site some areas must be handled differently. No holds barred and non-censorship is impossible.

And, I think some people just bitch for the sake of bitching.

Where is the mod in question? Why aren't they speaking up? If they screwed up then they should be held accountable but stop bleating the argument about how this was "supposed" to be. That was many months and many many many users ago. Success requires changes move with it or move on I say.

I fully agree with you - IF - your beef is having your post edited, that I think is gross abuse of mod rights. Especially putting something so fucking stupid as the edit.

If the mod in question would have deleted the threads well that is there decision, but they better have a good reason for it.

I think the way to rectify the issue of editing posts, is to make it mandatory for the mod to post a reason why they are editing the post, and have a way to view the original post in case shit like this comes into question.

Lol, this isn't about you Widem. It isn't even really about me and what I dumbass I am. If his intention was to get things back on topic, or even remove my flames in a way that made him laugh, why did he only choose one post. The posts where I told you to wash the sand out of your vagina are still there (or they were last night, anyway. I guess I haven't checked this morning), as are the posts from Dissolution members flaming me and Goozer. There was no action to get things back on track at all. That's pretty shitty moderating on every level.

I want to know where is Slix, he should speak up for his decision, from what I've gotten from reading this 5 pages, is that the reason of this discussion is the edit on Ash post, to make him look like an idiot, not the deleting spam or off topic conversation, which there was several in the link Ash posted.

I agree with several others, this is an abuse of power, which shouldnt be allowed. I think the best solution is what Meridian posted, just have the mods who edited/deleted a post just post a why he did it.

i remember more than one of your posts being deleted since yesterday. this is about me b/c my guild was just brought up and i was the member in the thread you are talking about. this is most definately about you b/c yours are the posts in question.

the only post by any disso member in there that is off topic is 1 post by xenobe. all the posts by razieh were on topic and adressed points that were brought that not just a fury could understand, but anyone playing this game...this point he made was that no single parse is representative of what a class can do. the disparity between a ZW parse of 1700 and a single target of 3100 proves that. thats all he pointed out. calaglin pointed out time discrepencies in the parse, still completely on topic and adding to the discussion.

I dont think you can quite understand how you offered no insight to what was going on and were just spamming the channel. As far as someone editing your post to have you make fun of yourself. I didnt get to see what you were talking about.

Yeah i did edit his post, it was your basic flame on fury players about crying so I changed it.

Yeah it was probably not the best thing to do but being involved in the thread I got a little pissed off at him tolling around. And I hate trolls more then anything else...want to post something constructive or post a point about the converstation, or rebuttle a point made by someone else fine go ahead post all you want....troll the thread and I get pissed.

Was it a bad choice..yeah it was but hey im just a person like everyone here. I volenteered for the mod spot other made me the mod, so I read and post, answer questions and debate.

Its a fourm, I dont get paid, I dont get any benfit from doing it other then spending time giving info on my class to others in the game. My life goes on just fine without ever needing to come here.
