Are these my forums?
I was told here: http://www.eq2flames.com/showpost.ph...4&postcount=98
that I think I'm a tool who should stay in "my own forums." Are these thay? Is this where I belong? I feel so lost here in EQ2flameland.
In case whoever edited my original post decides to strike again, here's the text copy of the post.

Someone has the power to edit my posts for me. Awesome. That's a really great trick, LFG.
Since this edit was probably done by whoever the Fury mod is, I leave you with this.

Personally class sections don't mean much to me I click that little button in the top left [Post Bot] and see whats being posted in, thats how I found this thread.

This is a public forum, and anyone trying to use the argument that anyone doesn't belong in another public forum on this site is a load of crap.
Abuses of power FTW.
I also took a screen shot in case it gets messed with over here as well.

Re: Are these my forums?
It was Slix, most likely. Isn't he the only one with that power in the Fury forum?
I guess it's common on this website tho since Pinski deletes posts all the time from the Illusionist forum.

Re: Are these my forums?
Yeah, it has edited by Slix and a time stamp on the bottom of the post (it's on page 5 of the thread titled DPS Parsing in the Fury forums if you go looking for it.) I guess it made Widem cry, and it had to be removed /shrug.
Oh wait, not removed. Altered. That's much more classy.

Yeah Calaglin doesn't let anyone post "stupid things" in the illusionist forum. He's the sole decider on what is stupid or not.

Re: Are these my forums?
Well if this continues, its no better than when the official forums took on their volunteer mods, cloaked them under the semblance of being actual employees of Sony, and allowed them to edit posts at will. LFG swore that posts would NEVER be edited except in the case of explicitly breaking the few rules here. If Slix gets to continue being a moderator in that forum, it goes against everything LFG stands for in this site. Have you reported the post, sent a PM to LFG or Niber, or anything along those lines? Its seriously a gross violation of everything LFG said would NOT happen here.

Re: Are these my forums?
The class sections have special rules based on the fact there is no possible way I can read all 24 of them. Forum leaders have the absolute right to kick out people who don't play a class yet go into a class section and raise hell. They can edit or delete any post they want in their own class section.
It's the only way to maintain sanity in the class sections. Otherwise, you get assassins trying to tell Mystics how to play their class, for example. The main purpose of the class sections is to promote and communicate top quality infoz about how to play your class, by and between people who play that class as their main.
The purpose of the class sections is not to generate a bunch of spam arguments by trolls. The class sections are also not intended for a bunch of off topic bullshit. Hell, Razieh even deleted one of my off topic threads in the Defiler section lol, but I really can't complain, since I set the rules giving him the right to do that.
The only way I'll reverse a decision made by a class leader in their own section is based on abuse of power, for example, if someone deletes posts by members of the same class with an opposing opinion on a class issue. That hasn't happened yet.
The class sections are the only ones where someone other than me or Niber has the ability to edit and delete posts. Sorry if you don't like this, but it's been the system since day 1 when the class sections were formed.
The bottom line is, If you play a defiler and want to make highly opinionated and uncensored posts about furies, it's best not to make them in the fury class section. The class sections appear to be extremely popular and working as intended, so I see no reason to change them or reduce rights and change practices of the class section leaders at this time.
Thanks

I don't expect any punitive actions to come out of this. I certainly don't expect it to be reversed, as the original post was unimportant and probably lost now. But I do think it should be noted just what kind of actions your class forum leaders consider acceptable and within their powers. It shocked me that my post had been edited. When I saw it was the forum class moderator who edited my post not to improve the discussion at all, but merely to take a childish swipe at me, I was kind of sickened. If the intention of this site is to foster EQ2 drama as a form of entertainment it does make sense, but according to recent posts the forums were there to inform and educate EQ2 players on their class. According to your own post above the intention is to help moderators keep threads on topic, but several other posts along the same lines were not only left up, but left in tact. Instead of deleting posts he felt were off topic he left (as far as I could tell) every other post untouched.
Like I said, I don't expect anything to be changed by this thread, but I am going to get a laugh at the hypocricy of the actions that inspired it.

The class sections were started up when you were playing Vanguard, this was all fully explained and has been the practice on this site since then.
There is no reason for class leaders at all unless they have the authority to keep order within their own sections. The only people who ever complain about this don't play a main in the class forum where their post was edited. I've never gotten even one complaint from anyone saying their post was unfairly edited within their own class section. Hell, I even see class leaders delete off-topic posts in their own sections by class leaders from another section.
The best thing about this system is that at least you will consistency in each forum, since only one person mods each forum. My biggest complaint on the official forums involved lack of consistency between opposing mods - there were no set and explainable rules anywhere. Here, you can generally tell exactly what the deal is within each class section.
If someone is deleting non-retarded posts you make in your own class section about your own class issues, send me a PM about that and I'll look into it and replace the class leader if needed. Otherwise, each class leader has full authority within their own section up to the point where they abuse that authority and begin making improper decisions for political or self-interested reasons. Like I said, that hasn't happened yet.
