That All-Natural Sebilisian Water: You're exactly right in that it took me a while to figure out what he was talking about with the water. Eventually, I just assumed that he was a REALLY big fan of having to swim down from topside to the jail/lower seb and ran with it. ("Yep, there's cool places to swim in ours...") Didn't even occur to me that he might have been talking about Cab.

Wherefore art thou, Kermit? One of the design objectives for Seb is: "This is where you go to kill Frogloks."

Whenever we populate a dungeon with a playable race, we usually make a variant of that race that's a little lighter weight (e.g. doesn't need all the attachments and facial customizability that turn into a big performance hit when used in large numbers).

With Sebilisian Frogloks, we're going one step further and making a new custom model, where you're actually looking at the froglok saying, "Yep. These are the unmistakably the frogloks that live here."

They weren't demoable yet, so the topside is currently a lot more iksar-placeholder heavy than it will end up being.

Just because Sebilis is where the Iksar now live, that doesn't mean that (like Dalnir from EQ), it can't be full of coerced/enslaved other races that will be more than happy to mix it up with any adventurers who happen by.

Awesome, Scott!:D I totally look forward to seeing what you guys have done with Kunark... :D Also, I think it's cool that you're making new Froglok models! What's the source of their different appearance though? Or is that explained? Just one of those geographic isolation+time situations?

I'm not sure if it is explicitly explained why they look different other than just being relatives of the frogloks you or I play.

It's easy to make up some kind of big story for something like that, when really the general populace probably doesn't care all that much. It pretty much just comes down to these guys are distant relatives, and different people adapt to different environments.

Well, 500 years in seclusion can warp the physical and mental features I'd imagine.

People look different when they come from different regions, so that seems rather self explanatory to me.

Poodle Questions:

So, with exiled Sarnaks - on PvP, will they be able to go into Haven? I mean, I'm starting mine on Befallen (obviously PvE,) but I'm just curious, you know what I mean?

If by chance I want to turn my Sarnak evil, will it need to go to Neriak or Freeport instead?

Also, if this wide open zone thing is similar to seamless zoning, can someone describe it to me? Is it like Zelda or something where the music just changes and "NAME OF PLACE HERE" is at the top of the screen?

Amen no i bloody don't care what tribe bastion or weird name or race your adding whoopdee doooo..

What raid content are you adding? Am I going to have enough content to keep me happy?

From what i've seen your making another glossy expansion pack, with a ton of newbie crap, with lets make it easier options for the people that suck and can't clear the existing zones in 1 or 2hrs.

It's noble nearly three years after the game was released your making an effort to compete with other mmo's for subs.

I think LFG actually mentioned in a thread a while back how lame the marketing and availability is for EQ2. I and many others that play this game are dumbfounded as to why people go the way of WOW, but when its impossible to find a retail box for EQ2 n stores and when you do you see the crummy screen shots that are on it, it becomes obvious.

Graphically EQ2 is amazing, why doesn't it get shouted about ??? The game has improved alot over the years and I still enjoy playing it. If the lag was removed this game would attract many more players.

I wonder how many people don't recomended EQ2 to friends and other MMO players because of Lag itself? A recent patch note said that server lag had been addressed !! Was it written on some memo and filed away somewhere ?? Because it is pretty much the same as always !!!

I had an old guildie recently come back to the game who said he had to go to seven stores before finding a copy of EOF.

It might be like EQOA, where each zone is streamed, and only the area within a certain radius of you (much larger in EQ2, I'd assume) is currently in memory.
