This is how it works.
Sure, it'll take you a long time to DEFEAT. But it'll take you about 2 hours to understand, and those are the very worst kind of timesinks.

I think what they are hoping for is this expansion is going to have a ton of new end game raiding added to it. I think they are going to be disappointed.

Re: E3 Rise of Kunark Video
This game is beginning to feel like work, with my congratulations being directed at the pro-timesink faction and the one-guild-per-server trying to maintain their incumbency. Great market.
Oh by the way.

Winwin/Bruised - take it to the appropriate sections and please stay on topic with this.
As for the video, can't really see it at work. I did read over the highlights, though. No mention of Lake of Ill Omen? (Or did I completely read over that)
My hope is that they fix the resist problems that some of us are facing now. Resist gear should MEAN something and right now, it doesn't.

I asked the author of the video and he didn't remember it being mentioned. EQ2 isn't his MMO of choice but he's usually very good with details. It's possible they just aren't mentioning it, honestly I'd be shocked if they didn't add it. Everyone remembers LOIO.

Re: E3 Rise of Kunark Video
Interview guy did mess up one thing. Scott is talking about Sebilis and the interviewer thinks he is talking about Cabilis. Easy mistake to make, but your short recap is incorrect because of it.
Scott mentions that Sebilis (orginally the froglok/myconid/trakanon dungeon) has been taken over by the iksar. Water never really played a role in Sebilis (besides a small underwater portion to get to the lower area) like it did in Cabilis (where you could travel anywhere by water). So that is kind of misleading. I think Scott was just rolling with the punches on that one when he said that it would be there again.
Also I have a beef. What's the deal with SOE and frogloks? Do they hate the models and think they suck or what? Two of the most popular EQ1 dungeons, Guk and Sebilis, right. Guk has simply been ignored, and Sebilis is taken over by Iksar. I don't understand this and I think everyone wants Sebilis to have frogloks, not be Karnor's Castle 2 with Sebilis slapped on it. They are diving in head first with direct revamps of older content, yet they seem to be deliberately avoiding Froglok dungeons, I demand an explaination!

Re: E3 Rise of Kunark Video
Couple quick ones:
LoIO: Yes, it's one of the zones that is a part of the Fens of Nathsar region. (LoIO, FoB, what's left of SoNH)
That All-Natural Sebilisian Water: You're exactly right in that it took me a while to figure out what he was talking about with the water. Eventually, I just assumed that he was a REALLY big fan of having to swim down from topside to the jail/lower seb and ran with it. ("Yep, there's cool places to swim in ours...") Didn't even occur to me that he might have been talking about Cab.
Wherefore art thou, Kermit? One of the design objectives for Seb is: "This is where you go to kill Frogloks."
Whenever we populate a dungeon with a playable race, we usually make a variant of that race that's a little lighter weight (e.g. doesn't need all the attachments and facial customizability that turn into a big performance hit when used in large numbers).
With Sebilisian Frogloks, we're going one step further and making a new custom model, where you're actually looking at the froglok saying, "Yep. These are the unmistakably the frogloks that live here."
They weren't demoable yet, so the topside is currently a lot more iksar-placeholder heavy than it will end up being.
Just because Sebilis is where the Iksar now live, that doesn't mean that (like Dalnir from EQ), it can't be full of coerced/enslaved other races that will be more than happy to mix it up with any adventurers who happen by.

Me too!!! It's a HUGE part of the lore behind my own character. I would have really hated to write that part out of her story.
