I'm waiting to see what happens (not much time left for this option...)
Yes I think this is a solid expansion
Yes, but only cus of the AA
No - but I'm close to yes (ie the features offered sound enticing)
Hell fuck no
[QUOITE=Crabbok;1878770]You assholes need to learn how to make polls. Seven options for a yes or no question is too many, and private results are dumb.
Yeah I agree. Please never make another poll OP
Now we instead of getting the raid zones on launch we will get them later as free-content. (you have to pay your $15/month anyway) There can be many reasons behind this move, but as a gamer and looking at the game's current state it does -NOT- make sense to release new raid content right now. Because in DoV we had full easy mode vs hardmode which doubled the number of raid zones in reality, from a game play point of view it would be a horrible decision to add new raid zones right now. SoE knows this, however from their business point of view and in order to meet the annual anticipated income they HAVE to release an expansion. So they had to release an expansion this year to meet their business forcasts, however the game is not ready for more raid zones.
I personally don't care about dungeon maker, I don't care about beastlord I'm not a fan of pet classes, also freeport revamp was a stupid way of wasting resources imo. Who cares if freeport is revamped?
I get that some terrible choices have been made regarding EQ's development but not adding raid zones with the new expansion is not one of them. You have to think annually, by the end of next year we are going to get whatever content that was planned for the year anyway.
Remember they are forced to release an expansion this year, it has been part of their forcast. Don't forget SOE is part of the playstation family now which has an impact on why they have to release an expansion within this fiscal year.
I am a bit more sceptic.
The hm content was made too hard on purpose.
Now it has been nerfed several times and stil the majority of raiding guilds wont step foot in it.
Considder the option that end game is starting to be less important for the commercial mechanism being layed out.
Some of the mobs are unkillable on purpose and some just broken because SOE released the zones without beta testing them (like they have with any other expansion). However the main reason so many guilds don't even step in those zones is strictly due to crit mit/crit chance level of the raid as a whole.
SF and TSO scripts were far more challenging than anything we have seen in Drunder.
Sorry for the shitty poll homies. I don't post nearly as often as I read... I coulda done better (booze be damned - and damned again!)
I would love to post some tits/ass but is this not a V-bulletin run board? Anyhow - works for shit - wtf?!
Anyhow, there's another thread going on (Vote for no-confidence in SmokeJumper) - FUCK THAT THREAD! you all should vote with youR wallet - cancel your account or just straight up not buy (by the droves) this incoming "expansion" (man I hate to call it that) Is there really that many housewives buying squirrels that've ruined eq2 as we know it so as to warrant so much attention to non-gameplay bullshit??
This FTP move, I'm not surprised... Keep in mind the two MMOs doing well (I feel at least - WoW & Rift) are not utilizing a FTP model <sidenote: I fucking hate the nomenclature "free-to-play" because companies use that as a guise. It ought to be called "free to login - pay to play"...>
As a self-proclaimed "hard core casual" I keep checking in to see if eq2 has gotten it's shit together. I am consistently disappointed.. If SOE wanted to get their discontinued player base re-subscribed... zomg it truly cannot be argued that they are failing in that regard. That leaves two general player bases left: those that are still playing, and those that have not played - is the latter really that much more desirable? I would re-sub in a minute if this game just got it's shit together - and even still, I like this game so much my standards are probably pretty low relatively speaking.. I was going to spend the 15$ for one month of EQ2, seriously? Instead I spent it on rift... But I cancelled that yet again. It coulda been SOE that grabbed my 15$ but instead it was Trion... The bottom line is, when it came to decide which game to come back to I chose Rift - it coulda been EQ2 had DoV just been I dunno - fucking worth it? I paid 50 bucks for eq2 at launch, and have never gotten as much for that price ever since.
This poll was more for you douchebags than for me I think - get together, rally. I dunno, form a player-based union and get recognized... SOE probably sells half of it's expansions before they even launch (because we want to remain competitive or just keep our eye on the leading edge at least..) Who is their primary market? Why is it that they don't promote product awareness? I feel it's because they on the large can probably rely on 50%+ of their current subscription base to buy the next expac no matter how shitty...
I'm just saying what we've all thought here at eq2flames - but it takes a lot of self-restraint to actually promote a boycott.. Yet it would do so much to "vote a no confidence" in SJ if it worked out.
Anyhow, the MMO industry I feel is on the verge of some kind of equilibrium (no shout out to the guild).
PS. Pic was in homage to Gaige - please speak some more bullshit.
This logic reinforces RMT. Thanks for ruining EQ2.
