the voting was basically set up as a guideline.

if you read what LFG wrote he did mention that ultimately I would select the captions used. the original caption I had selected for unrest was:

I changed the fonts because of your input, I changed the caption, in my mind 2 outta 3 for free isnt bad.

I realize that it is impossible to make everyone happy, but this bitching about free designs is sorta pissing me off. I did the best I could do under the circumstances. and I provided options to accommodate everyone.

Which server? Crushbone? They had 33 total votes for the entire poll. 15 votes for "we get it done..eventually".

Unrest had 38 total votes for the entire poll. 15 votes for "we get it done..eventually".

So which server had more votes?


Now I understand that the paltry 33 and 38 vote totals on a poll is not a true representation of the server, but you were working within a specific timeframe.

Bitmap, I must also mention that I like the designs and think your doing great work, especially since its on your own time, but we got the shaft.

And really, the competition was fierce. I gladly accept this title on behalf of all of all the players on Unrest, and to everyone out there who ever thinks of disagreeing with someone on this site: you'll just have to try harder in the future.

I am kind of frustrated also. I think we both did our best to try and contribute value to this site to the maximum extent it could be made available for free. I realize everyone has different financial situations, but come on, $20 bucks for a design change is nothing. It is impossible to please all the people, all the time, but I'm not sure this can be done in a way that will please any of the people, any time.

Bitmap and I each put in over 30 RL hours to make the server shirts work. There is an easy to follow system in place where you can spend $20 bucks extra, above and beyond the item cost, to get the exact text, color, and style change you want. The text change can be applied not only to the main design itself, to change the words to your guild name if you like, but also to the tagline. Once any one person forks up the $20 bucks for that change, it will then be available to every other user at no additional charge, if desired. Or, you can say fook everyone else, I paid the $20 and want this as my unique shirt, don't put it up for others to use - that's up to you. So only one person has gotta pay one time for a particular new design if you want, or not.

Please don't wear us out with this, it isn't worth it to us. There would be no dissatisfaction to deal with if we had done nothing at all.
