We screwed up our played time by falling asleep etc still logged in.

I'm not suprised that it can be done in under 3 days played, you just need a plan. Knowing where to go and which quests to do, which quests you can kill several birds with one stone etc... Which zones to explore and when (for discovery etc).

It would have helped to have a shitload of plat to buy collections, but as we left the game a few months ago and this was our coming back with no money whatsoever, we only managed to do about 10 collections.

Having some friends around to help with instances and dungeons helps too.

Just make sure there's lots of high yellow ^^^s in whatever zone you're going to, and quests to do in the zone, and you'll level like a beast.

It always made me a sad panda when people wanted to do zones that were green.

How fast can you purely grind to 70? Meaning no quests of any type or mentoring or any of that stuff? Someone try it and tell me kthx.

I just levelled a brigand as a mentorbot for Mines and for one grouping T5 raids. Collections, when done from a low enough level, are amazing. It took me around 5 hours and 108p to buy over 100 collections, but I went from around 18 to 34 on initial turn in and got around another 7 levels on the second day of looking (and after transferring more money).

My best advice is to get zone discovery dings as low as possible (you can go from 1 to 3 or 4 just from running through Maj'dul for example), use your exp pots only under optimal conditions (full group mentoring you on blue to yellow heroics - greens are too little exp and oranges take too long and have a lower exp yield than they should), preferably with vitality, etc.

In levelling 3 70s in the past few months, my other advice is to get to 55 as quickly as possible and run through the Claymore line with unmentoring 70s. Each quest, even the quickie solo stuff in the beginning of PoA, will give you 10% or more per quest at those levels. By the time you go through the quest line, having killed names, gotten zone updates, clearing trash while camping names and such, you can easily go from 55 to 70.

On my last 70 toon, I planned out a route of zones to hit so that I could get all of the updates for that zone at once. In doing so, I went from 58 (levelled pre-KoS) to 70 and finishing MoA, the Wurmslayer, Claymore, and DT access was finished with all but one update which I got a week later. It took me around 6 days to go from 58 with 11 AAs to 70 with 100 AAs.

The whole point here is that, if you know what to hit and have the means to do it (3 boxing a bard, necro with Tainted Heals, and a fury), you can probably do the full grind in under a week. Without the aid of quests and minimal gimme exp like zone discovery, no vit, etc., you could probably do it in a week and a half if you were ridiculously hardcore.
