To those of you who are being understanding I thank you.

We thank you for understanding that our population is limited.
We thank you for understanding that we are not payed to test.
We thank you for understanding that we like to test but also like to play.
We thank you for understanding that the whole copy/move issue is not our issue but entirely an SOE issue.
We thank you for pointing out that unless SOE makes a change the population growth on test is only going to increase if the live server folks make it grow.
We thank you for understanding that most of us respond better to constructive criticism than angry words and put downs.
We thank you for trying to help others understand our situation.

Once again folks, and this is only for those who may have missed it elsewhere.. We test as best we can, with what we have, when we can. This will not and can not change until one of two things happens.

1. SOE changes its Move/Copy policy to and or from Test.
2. The dedicated players on live who have more experience with high end content make a choice to make test a part time home.

Bottom line and I hate to sound angry or negative but in this case I don't see how I can avoid it. If your not part of the solution, on test helping to test. Stop complaining to us who are doing the best we can, yes OUR best may not be your BEST. If your not willing to test you have no right to bash us who are trying.

SOE needs to do more than that. The good folks at SOE need to pull their heads out of their asses and wipe test after every GU goes Live. Then, they need to allow character copies from Live to Test to fucking test shit. They also need to not allow creation of new characters on Test. The only way to get on Test should be a character copy.

• No new character creation on Test
• Charactercopy from Live to Test
• Wipe Test after each GU goes Live

I wont argue that this may work. I would hate to see test go but thats my issue and if we are looking at whats best for the overall game and population ...well then what I want is not so important. My concern with this is one that the folks here may be able to answer.. If you were able to copy to test and it was wiped after each GU how much time would people actually dedicate to testing? I think that is part of the issue SOE is concerned about.

Personal note.
Killing test as it is today and implementing the type of server that has been mentioned repeatedly in this and other posts would be something I would hate to see. I think that there is a valid reason for an "almost like live" test server. I am, however, willing to live with the change if SOE thinks that it would be a better solution. I would hope that they would offer the current players the courtesy of a move to another server instead of wiping the server, leaving us to start from scratch.

If this were to happen I think that, as I stated earlier, the Test Server as it is now should be left alone and another server created. There is no reason for the people who have put their time and effort into characters to have them deleted and their community altered.

Totally agree. How is it fair to them to wipe them just becase part of the community feels that they are not worthy enough to have toons. How would you feel if we wiped your server? It is thier home server just as yours is yours.

Having a new test server would be the only way to wipe the server for the method you are proposing.

For those folks who say test server folks don't test anything.. back right after EoF went live) My guild spent over a week in Kaladim testing and working though the Stormhammer quest.. feedbacking, bugging, many many issues with that quest. (SOE requested us to work on it) We weren't level 70 yet and were doing it at a level and with a group that would be appropriate (gear wise) for that quest. (We weren't in KoS raid gear.) We were one of the first groups to have finished the quest, live or test server.

I know it's not RAID testing, but it's a necessary thing to test all the same. There are MANY people who do take a LOT of time to work though the content they are able to work though. We did (and have been doing) a lot of testing in the EoF zones that WE can play right now.

Yes, we can't test in the new high end raids yet. The high end raid zones and content are fully being tested on test at this time. However, test players do test, and they test new content. We may not be testing the high end raid content, but that is just a small fraction of the content in the game, and most players (live) will never kill wooshi, etc.

Currently the highest level/geared raid group is UT. They are further along then other players.. They aren't yet ready to raid upper E0F areas, they HAVE to work to raid through the lower stuff before they can move to the higher stuff. Yes, YOU can take labs with two groups, but could you your first time in labs, with gear of that level?

The second up and coming raid group (my group) only raids two nights a week. We're working up though the stuff we can do, and it's our first times working these raid areas. We are a bit behind where UT is. That’s okay. (EX: We're working labs and lyc currently..but have yet to face the end mob of either zone)

The thing is, we're going to do stuff that we enjoy and have fun playing. Because it is still playing. It's not my "work" it's not "real life". I have stuff i do outside of the game, and inside the game i play to have fun. Like most people do. Sorry if thats not good enough for some of you. You really could come roll here and play. It would take a month to level upto 70th, then you can go kill Wooshi with your uberness. Speaking as someone who leads raids on test server, I wouldn't have any problems with that at all, and some of us see that as a good thing.

The issue is not with the testers themselves, it is more with the system and the lackluster way that the testing is organized. Ok, every once in a while SOE points people to a specific instance and says "Feedback this". However, there are other places that need attention and some feel that an entire niche of the player base of this game is being ignored for no other reason than a flawed system. It's understandable that having to roll a new toon on Test or level one w/ a lacking population is difficult. This is the primary reason that people are advocating a different set up for testing.
