It's not a excuse, it's a fact. Beta testing content, especially raid content, gives you an advantage over ones who hasn't.

But again I respectfully disagree with you. I read everything posted here, and in my perception I believe that your posting possee is at least as strong as anyone else's. And that's ok.
So while I can't eliminate the appearance of bias, I will assure you that all rules and admin decisions here will be enforced and made consistently and without regard to guild.
I hope you will at least agree that your rights to speak here are more strongly enforced and protected than mine ever were in NGD.

LFG, your intent on this board was *never* in question, so please don't think that in anyway.
Were I even a bit concerned that you'd be anything but fair and objective, I wouldn't be here - and because you are, its a main reason that I am.

I am 100% strongly opposedt to entire guilds getting into beta and testing content though. They can downplay it all they want, but everyone knows that getting a month or longer to test content, feedback it, and have it changed based on what you, your group, and your raid are capable of dealing with is a HUGE advantage.
Since SOE places such an emphasis on who kills what mob first and who discovered what mob first, I think its complete bull shit they let entire guilds have this huge advantage over other guilds.
If my guild was offered an invite into beta as a guild would we accept? No. Not a chance in hell. I feel that is one of the worst ways of testing it available and its pathetic.
Thats my issue with beta testing, not who gets in individually. Just the entire guilds.

If the raiding guilds didn't get into beta to test out the encounter, and when it went live it was buggy as hell (yes, i know, it's happened more times than i can count, i ran out of fingers) you'd bitch and moan about how the encounter is broekn and make comments like "why can't fucking soe test their content before they release it!".
SOE are between a rock and a hard place when it comes to opinions like you've expressed.

Re: I love how SOE picks their beta testers.
You know SOE should test all aspects of the game. They should not however pick testers that play 3-4 hours tops a week. They have a list of top questers in the game so pick a few of those to test questing, they have a list of top raiders so pick a few people from several top raiding guilds, they also have a lot of players that do nothing but fight heroic or solo content so find those people and test. They dont need to get people that cancel their account for 3 months and decide to activate their account just to sign up for beta.
Example of this is a person I talked to recently in one of Befallen's server channels. I was talking to people about EQ2flames and how its a good source of information, laughs, and a bit of drama. This person cared NOTHING about what was coming with the expansion but only had to say "You get what you pay for." All I have to say to things like this is I hope to god this is not a beta tester because they would probably get on mess around and not report anything. All I am saying is hand pick beta testers that have half a brain and know a little about the game rather than pick random people that dont care.

So if any of these FULL guilds get into the release of EOF and WW1st stuff, we can just unite together and intentionally not recognize them as the true "WW1st" guild :D That'd be funny  lol

So there would be no difference than it is now? I can't think of a instance raid in KoS or contested that hasn't been nerfed, enchanced or just completely fixed in some way, shape or form.

Don't feel bad, the only way I got in was because I made Art get me a Beta Press Tour invite.
