It doesn't take 5 month to figure out how to fix the problem with Tarinax. Without even knowing how their system to fix it works, here's a solution. Make it reset 30 seconds after it is no longer engaged. BAM, Tarinax fixed. It didn't take them all that long to change MO to have that happen to it, to fix cheesy strats on killing it, yet they couldn't just apply the same thing to Tarinax to solve the problem there, hrmmmm, seems like they just didn't care enough to fix it, imo.

But to be fair to Lockeye, if Rangers get the right gear, they are pretty decent DPS and nowhere as broken as many were screaming (and still do). His parses though..., they were just fucked up.

Sure a ranger with the Sarnac or Matron bow + L70 Ammo from the Tarinax Bow or Ichor bow, will put out some kick ass dps in the right group.

Now take an Assassin with Grizzfizzle DW, and say a Tundra Fang or whatever and put them in the same group.

Compare the parses..... :smiley-wink:

...on the plus side, I do fucking love this forum

I'm really sorry that you feel that way, and I understand why you do. But I really don't think that's the case. I'm sure they cared about fixing it. I also think it depends on who is calling the shots about what gets fixed and when. I know nothing about coding or game design or any of that, so I can't say. I can only speculate on possible problems that would hold up fixes. It may very well be as easy as you say. I just think that there are forces at work that we as players aren't privy to. I hesitate to make a blanket statement about their motivations without knowing the details, so, I'm willing to give the benefit of the doubt. Does that make me less frustrated to see bugs go unfixed for months at a time? Not at all. I'm just as annoyed as you are. I'm just willing to acknowledge that I don't know what limitations and demands are being put on the teams fixing the game.

Assassin would do a bit less DPS because a Ranger DPS group is much different from an Assassin DPS group.

Agreed MeridianR. The middle ground between early koS raids (where Rangers can still do OK) and getting that gear is a depressing place for a Ranger to be in.

Assassins are less reliant on equipment than Rangers to do *good* DPS. They still need some of the rarer drops to get to the top though - much like a Ranger.

So fuck you Sony for picking guilds who have Devs in them to Beta Test the content.

For what it is worth, Vagabonds could have been in Beta as a guild, but we aren't.
The Drow connection in this is the baseball player guy, he is in that guild. I can't fault them for that, if I owned this game, I'd also want to give special treatment to any professional baseball player who would pitch my product free on national television.

Isn't there a dev in NPU also?
