You're right, you don't have to be in an uber guild to get into beta. But, at the same time, if you took 10 random members of SD or 10 random members of FoH (uber guild applies loosely here) and tossed them into an average 3 times a week raiding guild, there is an absurdly lower chance they will be selected for beta.

And you are right, i AM jealous. I would love to be in beta. I would love to try and make the game better. But SOE doesn't like me much. I was too loud about coercer and chanter problems in general. I got banned...and then they took most of the arguments and recommendations I, and several others whom they banned, made and fixed chanters.

Reading my post again, it is true that i seemed to imply that the only people in beta are "ubers," and i appologize because that is really not what i was trying to say. My reply was aimed more at the elitist BS attitude that FoH person exhibited.

So wait...you don't know for a fact that the capes don't have wings based on your own empirical knowledge...and you actually insulted me in the process??

I stand by my well-founded paranoia and lack of faith in SOE, and ask someone to PLEASE confirm those capes won't have fricking wings coming out of them, lol.

Like I posted earlier in this thread:

I took the Beta Press Tour. The article linked is the one I wrote. The wings shown in that picture belong to Raijin's Fae, not to the capes. Capes do not have wings. (more edits: I watched him cycle through about 10 capes)

As a matter of fact, the Tour participants made him wear the red one because it matched his wings.

edit: And, reading your post before that, appology accepted. Yes, the elitist attitude bothers me too, but if it makes them feel like big fish, well *shrug*

I'm sorry you thought I was being elitist. Had I realized the extent of your frustration, I would have responded differently. If I remember correctly, the cloaks thread, and the beta invites thread started out as 2 seperate ones, and I had no idea you were upset over beta invites. Can you uncrucify me now?

You started the original post with 'This may be a stupid question..." If you post THAT on EQ2Flames you can't expect people to leave it alone. Besides, I didn't think you were going to get all SENSITIVE on me.

Ah, now this is the response i was looking for, thank you. The capes look....special...enough as it is, lol, so i was a bit worried about the wings.

Remember, Beta is young yet. Watch Caster's Realm and other fan sites, 'cause as they let us release more info you can be darned tootin' that we will.

I know more about the capes but I'm not allowed to say :/

Are those the wing choices we're going to have at launch? Just curious because the dark grey/purple set are exactly what I'm looking for when I roll mine.

The cloaks are about what I expected. I'm neither disappointed nor ecstatic about them.
