It's his blog (which this entry was last WEEK by the way), and wow this is new news how? You can't link flames on the official forums is sooooo December.

That cry baby fails to mention how you can say Flames and refer to the site fairly freely now, just not provide a direct link. Grimwell is responsible for laxing those rules if I'm not mistaken.

Say what you will. I'm just thought the EQ2Flames community would like to see this seeing as how the site is mentioned in the digg/mmorpg post. Take it however you wish, but it does seem a bit hypocritical that posters on EQ2 forums cannot link this site, yet Grimwell, a Community Manager, can link to his blog which contains material that I don't think would be given a 'T' rating.

My comments were directed to the posting in MMORPG, not you unless you are the same.

I have to disagree, I don't see the comparison as legitimate. You are comparing a site somewhat dedicated to Flaming people/voicing complaints to the personal thoughts of a single individual. It seems like apples and oranges to me.

But Sony's original excuse for not allowing this site to be linked was that it went beyond "rated T for Teens." If the blog does as well, I think it is a good comparison. The bullshit anarchist in me would say it is an abuse of power as well, but don't listen to that person, she is a pinko commie nutcase.

I haven't read Grimwell's crap, so I don't know how free with language and content it is, but if it is overstepping, then yeah, shouldn't be linked.

I do see exactly why EQ2 Flames cannot be linked, and the officials over at SOE are trying to still help this site along by posting here. Do you want a site that allows free speech that gets the attention of Gallenite himself? Or do you want a site that can be linked on T rated forums?

Just for the record, and I'm sure that this may get me in trouble in the future if the managers read it, but I linked a thread from here in a post on the official boards in the class section for people yesterday and it still has not been removed or edited out that I know of...so no idea if they are getting lax or just ignoring it atm
