I'm very sorry about that inconvenience, just hit the "skip ad" button at the top of the screen when and if that happens to you. These are called "Interstitial Ads" - I would never activate them but they pay so fatly. Again, those interstitial ads are completely benign in nature, and are for stuff like "sell me your college essays" and such. Nothing remotely like the Butt Ads.

I dont like new forum look, it's so much reminds me of official forums, which I dont use because they are shit. Also ad's... sorry, but it's a joke when ad's take so much place, I have a feeling that the forum is half cutted on my screen.
Guess I will just use this site like official forums from now, cant make myself use something I dont like.

This new advertisement sucks. One, some bitches ass on the top of every page makes it hard to check this at work. Two, I am sometimes redirected to some other page automatically. Its some sort of generic ad page.

I don't mind paying 10 bucks to avoid the first one, but what is up with moving me off the site and will turning off the ad visibility do anything about this?

Like I said, I cancelled the Butt Ads, but it will take the ad rotator a couple hours to stop posting them here.

Please read above what I wrote about Interstitial Ads. They will not appear more than once every 12 hours per user. Just click the skip button when you see them.

I would like to point out my my posting cycle and my position before stating my intent. I read forums during the day during down times at work. I am a credit analyst so I pretty much work at my own pace as long as im meeting my deadlines so i am free to post here fairly regularly during the day. Thats my peak time for seeing questions people have in the fury section, debating about politics in the everything else section, and making fun of people who say/think dumb shit everywhere else. This is all allowed by my employer as long as again im meeting deadlines and my productivity is high. With that being said we do have strict rules on things such as sexual harassment in the workplace and even though I have my own office, stuff like that makes me feel uncomfortable b/c when working for a financial institution people are pretty much everywhere digging up info in other peoples files regularly and i really wouldnt want someone popping in and seeing that. Furthermore for anyone that works in a cube...i could see that having dire consequences fast.

Even though i love the ass, for me personaly at work it might be a prob but if you need to keep it up for the site to run you have to do what you have to do...anyway it could be moved to where its not the first thing you see on refresh? guess that kinda defeats the purpose though.

EDIT - bah u posted while i was typing about cancelling them!

Sounds like you are viewing on a 640 x 480 res monitor or something. On my monitor, the left side ad panel takes less than 10 percent of the screen.

I'm sorry I can't please all the people all the time, I really am. But I think what I've tried to implement here is in the greater good, and is intended to minimally inconvenience people who don't want to contribute for the purpose of offsetting what I pay out of my own pocket to operate this site.

Also to be clear, the Interstitial Ads will also disappear forever when you are added to the "no ads" user group when you donate. So that will never happen to anyone who donates after ads are turned off.
