I like the Idea of having a "Mantown" section on these boards. A place where butt shots can flow freely. Perhaps post Thaydrian's Avatar (Boob waggling one) perminantly on the 1st page?

What would really work well here, and fits so perfectly I swear it could have been invented just for this site, is SomethingAwful.com's avatar/title purchasing program.

Basically, it allows people to buy avatars and titles for other people for $10, which they can't change unless they pay a further $10. You could come up with all sorts of humiliating designs to really fuck with those people that piss you off and eq2flames reaps the monatery benifits.

By the way, I think the new design sucks with or without ads. Is there an option to use the old skin?

The new skin is so similar to the last one (with the ads removed) that I can't justify having to maintain both.

I already mentioned being able to change people's titles for a donation a month or so ago. LFG ignored me so I assume he realized how badly I'd abuse the privledge.

How about a $50.00 donation gives you the ability to reset people's post counts?

I would like to implement the somethingawful system of being able to buy stuff like insult banner ads against other users, I've admired that for some time. But that would require extreme custom programming, we don't have that resource at this time. I'm sure Ody could do it, but I can only ask so much of him, and have already stretched my requests to him to the maximum limits of what I'm willing to ask someone to do to help me.

I'm sorry if you don't like the new look. We really and truly have spent hundreds of hours between us to come up with this, and feel like it represents the best interests of this site and is an improvement to the majority of users.

We can't maintain two skins, it isn't feasible. Every little change has to be duplicated on each, every time vBulletin upgrades we have to do a full install and tweaking on each skin.

We are in fact going to implement a stair stepped benefit package for contributors, based on donation. There will be an increasing series of benefits for larger donation levels. One of the benefits will be the ability to change your title with HTML code at will, without the need for my intervention, and your user contribution level will qualify for that benefit.

Just need a couple weeks to finish tweaking all this, and for Ody to get the time to fix the hacks he previously coded, which were broken when we did a vBulletin upgrade for security reasons.
