    Default State of the Game

I have been away for the better part of a year. I know there have been massive changes to the game as I remember it, though I do occasionally keep track through Flames and talking to old EQ2 friends. I recently jumped back into MMO's and decided to try the new Star Wars game. While it is fun, I can't help but compare every pixel and keystroke to EQ2. Honestly, I think I just miss Norrath the world and friends I knew for over 6 years.

Though I know there have been sweeping changes to the game over the last year, I still see several of my old friends play the game (evidenced by LFG threads). I am curious how you guys are feeling about the game after all this time. I am considering resubbing if even just to hang out with old friends and fly around. Is there any credible interest left?

Honestly, I still think it is the best MMO out there. Especially if you raid, and raiding is looking a lot better for most people with Crit Mit being removed.

Still the best game for raiding as stated above. Star wars has a cool story arc concept but if i wanted that I would be playing the original single player Kotors since they are better in that regard. I play MMO's for multi player raiding.

In spite of SOE's corporate ineptitude and almost exclusive focus on the marketplace, I think EQ2 is still the best MMO out there; no matter what your playstyle, there's something for you to do. How long that will be true remains to be seen.
