Good point on the file structure.

I'm aiming for guildname.eq2flames.com. I want the site name to be as easy as possible for people to give out without having to worry about forward slash or back slash or how do you spell this or that. But I'll definitely organize it internally by server that way we can use that information later.

We'll see how it goes, this is a monster sized task.

But Niber, you gotta be careful of the 20 Defiants, 15 Legacys, and so on. At some point you are gonna have to look at server I'd imagine.

your hosting company should make it easy to allocate localized ftp accounts, though expecting an average user to make a website from scratch might be unreasonable :\

First come first serve on names. After that they can get creative as they want. My point was only that the syntax would be name.eq2flames.com.

gotcha. And yeah, I don't know how like Guildportal works, but they have a template or 2 don't they? Maybe someone here can create a few templates if that's how that works.

I'm not worried about FTP access. I want to create a package of forums/dkp/cms that is EQ2 ready, that's the biggest undertaking.

Basically guildportal looks like this (but allows customization).
