Seriously fuck people who complain about ads that you do NOT have to click, do NOT have to even look at, and simply do NOT have to interact with at all. In spite of all those whiney pussies I vow to surf this site logged out simply because I am not such a stupid fuck that a few adds on the side is going to ruin my use of a website. Also, far be it from me to defend LFG or be on his side for no reason, so fuck all you people who are whining, serioulsy go somewhere else, I dont like your kind(Go ahead, stay here and use the site to spite me, I dare you).

That said, you could run plat seller website ads. They dont take up much space but they probably would pay just as much or more for advertising here. I remember mysupersales.com paying upwards of hundreds of thousands of dollars for server message boards back in the eq1 days and I think we can all agree the online character/plat business is probabaly a bigger deal now than it was then. And yes, I know how much you hate them, but if you dont use the shit, who cares? Regardless there a ton of dumb sluts who do.

I think for ANYONE to expect a person to donate hours and hours of their personal time to ensure that a site like this runs smoothly, keeps it current, bends over backwards to accomodate, handle concerns quickly, AND pay money out of their pocket to run the site completely free for the users is just an unrealistic, immature, selfish, entitled ass.

Yes, there was a point when this site was free, but now its not. Learn to cope. Seriously how do these complainers get on in real life if they're having a meltdown over having to pay $10 or see a couple of extra rectangles on a website?

I think most of us really appreciate you making all this big fuss about the adds, taking stuff down that people complain about even if it pays the most.

You, LFG, also take care of not displaying platselller ads, which loads of fansites actually fail to do. I can understand that some people don't want to donate, but I don't think the adds are that annoying at all (just logged out to have a look at things).

I'm a poor student, well. I can still pay $10 for this amazing site, as long as I can afford to pay my EQ2 subscribtion. Anything else would feel kinda hypocritical to me. And if someone doesn't want to donate for "nothing" --> go get a nice T from the store! I never actually donated for ANY site before, but I did now, and I'll get some merch from the store as well.

Don't be too concerned about the ads. People will get used to it or just donate. Period.

Some people just need to get over it. After a bit of surfing, you will train your eye to steer away from where the ads are. I don't even notice them anymore. The color scheme of this site makes them even less intrusive. This could be a whole lot worse, no doubt.

With everything LFG and Niber have provided for us, it would be selfish of all of us not to support this. I don't go into other people's homes and start bitching that the color paint on the walls is obnoxious and unless it's changed, I'm never coming to visit.

Keep it up. And if you start putting quest walkthroughs on the site and increase traffic even more, I hope you make a fortune, because I know that you'll even make this site better with more funding.

Ah shit I agree with Ishbu. I also could give a rats ass if you ran plat sellers ads. I am not going to visit and I hate those damn farmer bots. The only time I wish I was on a PVP server is when I see them. I dont like plat sellers but I think it would be funy to have them on a site that actively tries to shut them down.
