UMMMMM...I manage at a third party collection agency. Many times, we curse up a storm. Granted not while my collectors are on the phone with debtors, but still, very colorful language flies around pretty often.

Many of us have at least one, if not more, 4 year degrees. I have signed some SICK commission statements. Ecducation and income level have ZERO to do with choice of language. It is just that, a CHOICE.

/filter on if you are easily offended.

So do you think online actions never affect the real world? Praps a future employer would not think very highly of your avatar? Of course you just keep on with your limited world view and see how far that takes ya.

So another words curse words are not something a business environment encourages then if you have to /filter yourself with the public. What makes that different from the EQ public? Education has everything to do with language choice. Educated people have a much wider range of language to choose from.

Lol i cursed/curse in front of my mom all the time. She don't care. I curse in public. I don't care. If you're so soft skinned that a curse word offends you... we wont get along.

If cursing at a job is the difference between me making that paper or not.. then ya i could stop cursing long enough to get paid but i live my life the way i want to make it.

I absolutely do not care what you say in a private channel, just like I won't come into your home and tell you what t.v. shows to watch, what food to eat, how to fuck, or who to pray to. In your privacy, surrounded by people you have invited, you can do as you please.

On the flip side, why should I read the conversations in 60-69 about things like various sexual acts involving shit for example? Because I have. I fail to see how it relates to the game or to most players daily real life experiences. Why is a topic like that in a public channel then? Those kind of conversations don't belong in a public channel. Private? Sure, if that's what you're into. Public? No.

There is a limit to what is generally considered to be acceptable, and regardless of how tolerant the majority of people are there is always someone who wants to take it further, always. Why the need to keep upping the ante? Do you seek attention so badly that any kind will do?

If I talked in 60-69 about wanting to rape your dead corpse (another topic I've seen grace 60-69 chat), should I be muzzled? I think so. Others think that's infringing on their right to speak as they please wherever and whenever they please. I think it's just common sense.

Take it to extremes if you like, but be prepared to face the consequences. In real life, those consequences could range from an ignore to a shouting match to a fist fight. In game, perhaps a warning or a ban. Don't like the consequences? Then perhaps you need to reconsider what you say where.

Didn't realize there was an ignore button in real life. And for those other things... i welcome em... i entice em. Especially when I'm drunk as fuck.

And if i was saying things that actually needed a banning i wouldn't be surprised if i got it. I have yet to be talked to by a GM in whole damn time in this game even though I've been told in tells Ive been reported at least 100 times.. even more in public channel... probably even more i don't even know about first hand. But if i got banned... you sure as hell can bet I'm gonna be here just raising hell over it. (Personal favorite.. right as fae's came out i made named faegot... i get in and ooc "OMG... hey guys" You would not believe how people said they reported me for that.)

Off-topic but i wanna share a story of how soft-skinned some of these can be.

Dude is whining to me in tells about something (Can't remember what) not cursing i might add. The second i tell to just shut the hell up...
