Last time I preordered, I got screwed out of a houseplant.

Those damn things are so useful, especially for the 22 percent single use power boost.

So since KoS, I've been having to check more and more random user rooms for Houseplants, since I preordered all three copies for my accounts and couldn't get one after that.

I'll never preorder a SoE product again. All store bought for me, the deal is too much better.

I love how they discourage people from using efficient digital download just to make a buck. Yeah I need to go to the store and buy a big box with a piece of paper in it that holds the code... cause I might buy something else while I'm there.

Edit to add they fixed the pop-up now. But it was at least mildly entertaining for me while it lasted.

I love digital download and it annoys me a little that they do offer incentives but you have to look at it this way.

When's the last time you've been in a retail store and seen a copy of EQ2 on the shelf? You know why? Because not enough people are buying to justify the shelf space. Now if you put in an incentive for people to go buy it, this shows the retailer they may see enough sales to clear shelf space. LFG just stated he's never doing digital D/L again and this proves their marketing works. *shrug*

Last 3 or 4 PC games I've bought have been digital d/l. I wish it was all that way.

I have to agree that pre-ordering digital download means you lose out on a lot. I have stacks of crap in the bank waiting for me to go visit a friend's houseplant... That being said, I'm not sure I care about room eye-candy with the tinkered pet that comes with EoF. AFAIK it's just cute, but doesn't do anything useful, like the plant does, right?

I always buy my stuff from the store anyway. I'm too freaked out about something going wrong and not being able to get a dl's expansion back for some reason.

I think the houseplant was a joke. Cool pet, but too much work for the potions imo.

I'm actually going to wait about three days for hardcopy. I want my copter, rofl. And frankly, I don't trust any of the retailers here to bother to stock it, they're clueless. So we preordered them from somwhere or other.

I don't mind waiting a couple days, the first week of a new expansion is always a cluster anyway.

I had pre-ordered KoS the day it became available, yet there was a billing issue and they never charged my card.

pissed me off cause I lost a day and a half of leveling since I didn't have KoS

i NEVER see eq2 on the shelf at game stop or EB, which are the only places i really go for games.... too many things go wrong with digi D/Ls, i like a hard copy just incase i fuck something up as well.
