This wouldn't happen to be the same bruiser that can do things solo that only a few other bruisers can worldwide? Or was that a general statement?

Re: Spell consolidation
I know he was well geared, but how much can that help with no buffs except mine vs a whole group (probably with a plate tank)
EDIT: I have done it with pick up groups on my troub and a horribly geared tank. We only wiped once the problem wasn't that it was hard its that they just don't pay attention constantly running off alone getting adds and training the group.

You two are probably among the pool of the best geared, knowledgeable, and skilled players in the game so I am not real suprised you could do it. I think it is a feat, but I don't think it is neccesarily a fair measuring stick of the difficulty of the zone. I would almost expect 3 random people from WW guilds to = 6 "average" players, so 2 from a top guild I could understand somewhat. Now if he could solo it, then you would have me in your corner banging the drum.

If your group isn't geared out well or spectacular, it's quite difficult. If you're in, say, a group full of raiders, you'll just burn down everything in 3 seconds and can ignore all of the strategies that SOE attempted to make required for the mobs. Basically if your group dps is low enough where it takes ~45-90sec to kill the named, your tank is maybe in mixed legendary, and your healer while good isn't spectacular and is using adept3s, they're a lot more interesting. Problem is it's scaled correctly in difficulty for people passing through the levels who want a challenge, not scaled to how ridiculously frickin strong level-capped players have gotten in EoF.
If you notice, in my post, I gave multiple examples of the kinds of strategies the nameds are supposed to require. But yeah, you can just burn through most of 'em assuming you're in a fairly good group.
An example of how good group vs bad group changes things is the last OOB named - good group, easy as all hell. Bad group or totally single-target focused group and the group wipes a lot. Why? He spawns two Void Doppelgangers that hit like frickin' trucks. But they usually get AEd or the named dies fast enough that it doesn't matter.

Re: Spell consolidation
A group Geared out in EoF legendary with a Mix of Masters and Adept 3's should have no problem with Unrest.
Just like Hard raid mobs require you to gear up on Easier Raids to Tackle, harder group zones should require you to gear up on easier instances.
it's called progression.

Thanks for that point, but that's completely irrelevant to what I'm talking about and has nothing to do with the discussion at hand. Read my posts again. A low dps group has to use certain strategies on the nameds and doesn't just stand there and burn, and those are what I'm trying to point out.

People shouldnt expect to be able to zone in with any combonation of players and just kill everything with ease, It doesn't work like that in raiding and it certainly shouldn't in Tough heroic contested.

It was alot more complex than Den, especially on your first run through. But the problem lies therein, once you've done a zone with puzzles, then puzzles are then pointless as you know the answers and know what to do. If the puzzles were dynamic and random, changing on each run it would be great and would keep your interest in going back - but that would take a rediculous amount of work.
All zones turn into a straight forward kill this, kill that run after you know what your doing.

Re: Spell consolidation
I have a crazy idea, and maybe its already been said in here:
You wanna make the game less of button mashing, I'm all for it. However, I'm not all for dumbing it down. Instead of consolidating the spells and combat abilities, how about giving us more robust macro tool? One that can chain...let's say 4 abilities? Something more like WoW's UI also would be great. Something that is actually useful. Something that can be truly customized to fit your playstyle, whether its broker whoring, raiding, or crafting.
Those two things will turn the game into much less of a tedious, mind numbing, button mashing MMO and much more into something each individual player creates and customizes for themselves.
