Contested are a waste of time, but this isn't? I'd much rather have contested mobs in the expansion than a fucking raid zone for 2 months when you know it is going to be bugged when it comes in game.

There's a big difference between a few weeks ago:

"This shit is bugged and some items are fucked, but it's still worth playing!"

and now:

"What the hell is the point anymore?"

Veeshan's Peak

Volcano x4 raid instances - Guarded by the Ring of Scale. Zone has Flame Spurts, Magma Raptors / Wyverns / Golems and enslaved Iksars and Sarnaks who we have to free. There 5 guardians of the Peak which are all raid mobs. There are 7-8 dragons on top of that including Silver Wing and the end boss is Trakanon. He has his own lair within the zone. Xygoz is another dragon who is sleeping and his dreams will attack you. There are 11 unique scripted encounters inside the zone (dragons) and they've been working on that aspect exclusively on the raid side for the last two months.

Sounds like that is the 'end raid zone' in RoK.

I can't see any justification when they get back except maybe "we don't like the players anymore."

Without further ado, info from the VN Boards. Once again curtosy of Alukan

* 3 new gods will be brought back ... Bertoxx ... Karana ... The Tribunal. There will be one more god release via a Live Update between now and the expansion release.
* The current gods will raise in level and so will the loot they drop.
* Raid progression is linear ... there will be 3 entry level raids and it will grow from there. All raids will be persistant. As a matter of fact all instances (even group instances) will be persistant.

Does this mean the loot we are currently getting of the avatars will be scaled up. Or will they get a whole new loot table suitable for the expansion.

Bloody well hope its a new loot table. Oh and the Avatars better have different/new tricks rather than just spawning adds and a power drain.

I'm sure it means there will be a completely new loot table. There would be no reason to buy RoK if you're starting with level 80 Fabled gear before you even ding 71. Same deal if they just increased the level without changing how the Avatars work ... there would be no reason to get the xpac if its just the exact same thing from EoF
