So I am assuming that RoK will look amazing, large zones with cool artwork.

But every single piece of gameplay will be turned to complete and utter shit.

Well at least by the time this comes out 5 new MMO's will be ready to release.

SOE makes me cry irl, I dont understand where they are getting there data from that makes them think these changes are necessary.

I dont even want to get started about the pvp aspect of this game, the pvpers who are asking questions to devs at fan faire are getting nothing to make pvp better. Why wont SOE die

I enjoy raiding, I'm not a hardcore raider.

I believe in common sense.

This expansion and every gameplay mechanic they are adding with it goes against every rule of common sense and completely fucks up everything.

Thank god i do not live in san diego or i might be liable for a certain accident to there offices

This all sounds like fucking bullshit to me. I love this game to death, but no HQs, No contested, the same fucking avatar fights we already do...I'm sure the new 3 or whatever will be exactly like the other 8 too. I am so dissapointed right now, I don't even know what to say. All I want is a severly hardcore, and ridicuously challenging game...any suggestions? Because, EQ2 sure as hell isn't giving me that now.

In the MMORPG arena, there are none.

I recommend playing Diablo II: Lord of Destruction patched up to 1.11b on Hardcore Hell. That's a man's game.

I have, and used to. But...all the pindleskin botters etc got on my nerves, and the chicken duelers.

From talking to a few guild members that went to fan faire, they cornered a dev to get clarification about the avatar loot, and it sounds like the loot dropped from avatars will be entirely different than the t7 loot. So, in effect, the loot will scale up, but your existing items will not.

Best part is, not only they destroyed raid content...they also destroyed the rest. I mean, seriously...no heroic overland content? Where's the fucking sense of danger? I expected Kunark to be a mined field.

RoK is lined up to be the casual's dream. =/

The sad thing is that games branded as "casual" (PopCap stuff and the like) have more hardcore value now.

there are a lot more raiders than the devs will give credit to. i don't know one person at level 70 that's never been on a raid. 1% are harcore? maybe. but a LOT of people raid.

anyway, grats devs for perpetuating the stupidity and lack of productive thought that we've seen over the last few years. if these statements are true, then your expansion will fail. maybe it's time you turned around and actually took a long hard look at just what you're doing, what you're changing, and what you're NOT telling the players about why you're doing it.
