New Shadow System?

I remember their being a new wow style "Blob" shadow system on Test for a GU but then it was removed due to some bugs. This was quite a while ago and I'm curious as to the status of this project.

Anyone heard anything?

They realised no one wants to look at fucking black blobs and sacked the Dev that even suggested otherwise.
