What the fuck are you talking about? Not only did we kill it months before everyone else, nobody else has killed 3princes, MO, chel'drak, or the matron. None of those guilds can kill the same stuff as us, not even close.

In the fight between Cata and TDS - I really think Tuna leaving did them good. Even if it was just his persona leaving. Poor Cata had been on a "Downward Spiral" of thier own for some time before the merger... although at the time of the merger i'd have still considered them top. But I think the merger hurt them... and they are more of a second rate guild at this point.

I have no further input on TDS post Tuna though.... Although i still hate them from the Orig 6.

Like ishbu said. No one has killed Matron, Princes, Cheldrak or MO on nektulos. Where exactly is everyone else on the server doing everything we can do. Its not hard to define the "Best"

The best would be the people who do everything. The people who can kill everything and can kill it fast. Every guild on this server is no better then a guild alliance as far as what they are killing.

Guys please, just cool it with the "mine is bigger" nonsense.

It is an interesting point that LFG has brought up, and it was a time of a lot of major changes when the servers merged. But we've been merged for a good while now, and I'm sure every guild as a blend of people from each server to one degree or another.

I do think BlackBurrow/Oggok is a rare instance where there wasn't one clear top dog. I think if this poll would have come out a couple months after, the consensus would have been that Amend was on top. Saints really only started to pick up speed once the merger happened, and our internal issues know no bounds. I think we're doing quite well all things considered, and that's really all anyone is trying to do here. It's nice to be able to make claims to server/ww firsts, but in the end, guilds will come and go, the people in them change, and we just have to be the best that we can be with what we have at any given time. I mean, the same thing can be said on a day to day basis if you want to get picky.

Anyway, If you're on a server where you dominate all content great, you've got the top people on your server (combined servers) together and are taking out the hardest content the game has to offer.

If you're on a server where the talent may be more spread out, or if you are in a guild where finishing all raid content isn't your main goal, that's totally fine as well. More power to ya.

Really i dont get the point of the question. I never once said my guild was the best. I never once said my guild is better then SoN. I never once said my guild had beaten the expansion. All i said was that SoN has not beating KoS till they have beaten Matron which i believe to be a true fact. I am in a "casual" raiding guild and not afraid to say it.

This is coming from an anon poster that has a hard on for butcherblockians it would seem. He goes there and acts all great and says im in SD yadda yadda. You have yet to prove that you're even in a guild worth a damn. Why do you feel you have a right to even ask what my guild has done when you are too afraid to say what guild you are in? No, We've never killed MO Princes or Hurricanus. No, We've never killed Matron. No, We havn't killed Chel yet... we got access just havnt truly started trying it. But at least i have the balls to say this. I dont hide behind a dragon's name and talk all mighty. I at least say who the fuck i am.

When you finally say who you are instead of hiding from the flames then come back and downplay my accomplishments all you want.

No we havn't killed tarinax or curor. Got curor to 56% first try then we decided to just go tarinax till we got him. Got him to 8% a couple weeks ago with no dirge on... with one on it probably woulda died. Now were dirgeless but we will keep trying. No we arnt the uberest guild in the game but we arnt relic raiders either.

Um.. not to point fingers... but not being able to spell a character name when its in big red letters is kinda dumb too.

And Ishbu - I never said Disso wasnt the best on the server... if you can ever find one log file, one post, anything... anything at all... where i denied Disso being the best "raid Guild" Please find it and post it.

Personaly, i think my guild is the best... for me..

We dont raid, we dont group... hell, we barely even chat. I'm lucky to get a "hi" when i log in. I love it... Which makes it the best.

Like i said... Define Best.

And um... Cata was the best guild on the Lavastorm. So there.

Let's not forget the "Other" merges that were not as public.

Around the same time of the other mergers, Mistmoore was merged with servers in Asia and Australia. This blessed our little server with hundreds (thousands?) of new players that the existing community could not communicate with for the most part, not to mention the lovely boxes in guildnames and bios.

Random Player 1: Hey look! It's Uhlegionado Likeraid of the guild <□□□□>. I think he wants to join us.
Random Player 2: Welcome to the group, Uhl. Can you gimme that one buff?
Uhllegionado: I am follow you
Random Player 2: Okay, no problem. Can you put that buff on me?
Uhllegionado: I am follow you
Random Player1: nvm
Uhllegionado: I am follow you

Every server has the token asian farming community. The stereotypical guys playing 6 boxes with 1 guardian and 5 warlocks killing sandscrawler cheiftans for bowls of rice, blah, blah. It really has nothing at all to do with ethnicity other than ruthless playstyle compounded by a huge communication barrier. Multiply this fraction of the population tenfold and you have MM, post-merger. Shortly after, there was NO zone ANYWHERE that was not being swept clean of nodes and mobs from heavy farming. I think it got so bad that some of the original farmers were driven to other servers with less competition. Trying to reason or deal with some of these folks on broker transactions or the stuff they robotically link in chat is less fun than sticking an icepick in your eye. We have gotten used to it by now and many have left for other servers. One group got together and made a formidable guild called Himalaya. They had well over a hundred members at their peak. What they lacked in skill, they made up for in sheer dedication. Scary dedication. (second hand info inc) They took seven hours to kill Talendor for DT access. Their first Tarinax kill occured 13-ish hours after the first pull. Scary dedication. They came to the server with a playtime that coincided with the sleep time of all the US and Euro guilds. They got more than a few contested (except Princes) due to sleeping competition. For whatever reason, they have fizzled out for the most part...

But it is worth metioning the 'forgotten mergers'.
