One could only assume since Transmuting needs a certain level or transmuting to break down a certain level of item. So a 70 transmuter couldn't break down a 75 item for example.

Actually right now, 350 transmuting will be able to break down up to lvl 75 (only need 325 to break down lvl 70). The point still stands though that the skill will have to go up to break down up to lvl 80.

Thanks for all the good reviews. =) It's safest to just get the full crafting table so that when your low on the resource of a specific pristine item you can easily conserve resources.(Specially if you want to sell them back after your done with a tier.)

I have cliff notes...
Go to Butcherblock Mountains buy all recipes and skills.
Go to Steamfont buy all recipes.
Return to tradeskill instance, buy all the metal/gems raws you can get your hands on for all the tiers and a few wood for the odd recipe.
Choose highest level recipe, start, spam Data Management until 1 bar is acheived, hit stop.
Repeat until max level. Buying fuel as needed.

I got a max level tinkerer in a couple days.

I actually felt like it was telling me to hit repeat, start and then afk and come back in a few. This is not challenging and is extremely boring. On the bright side I got some work done around the house while doing it.

I sure hope this wasn't the result of redesigning tradeskills to prevent people "having to spam buttons to contribute". /yawn

For those just starting out, and will a small bank roll. Harvesting Ores and Stone in Darklight Woods is lucrative and easy. Just travel along the walls east of the river, in a big circle. Takes about five trips around it to get a good amount to start off. Go do some tinkering, rinse - repeat.

Oakmiser: Nice guide. Let me know when you are completely done with it, and I'll save a copy of this in our Guides, Instructions, and Walk Through section.

Thanks for posting this.

Best thing for me was being #1 tinkerer on the server and bought all the loams cheap before anyone else got to the next tier. Having a 2nd account parked at broker while harvesting probably didn't hurt either ><

I think I remember seeing Domino say that they are going to raise tinkering and transmuting with rok.

I think I remember that too, but I can't find precisely where. I can't see Domino leaving them out with out very good reason.

I haven't been on official forums lately, tired of seeing same topic reposted as new thread every week or so...

Calthine post another idea for me, tell them make adornments for house items that give +status reduction :-P

At least make some of teh fun items in teh game useful, lolz

Not sure if anyone made the post about making personal status useful in some way.. currently at 22.3Mil and my 5 room house status rent is now 0...
