Guild recruitment on the official forums...

Looks like they're trying to consolidate guild recruitments on each server:

Interesting... The rules are kind of strict. I mean you can't talk about the guilds on this particular thread, and I bet if you started a new one, they would nix it quickly. You can't recruit outside that thread either. Now I don't know about any other server forums, but the Unrest one is pretty much recruitment threads and maybe 1 or 2 other discussions. Guess it will really kill the server forums lol!

What do ya'll think?

think most are the same tbh 98% recruitment threads. So yes the death of the server threads is nigh.

IMO, server forum rules should be pretty relaxed. But I think the idea of keeping guild recruitment consolidated is to encourage more discussion that won't get buried beneath the masses of recruitment threads, as that is what server forums have been seeing. Do they really all need separate threads? Generally, one seeking an guild will actively be searching for one, and now they will know exactly where to look.

However, the real problem is that no one posts on these forums anymore, so the guild recruitment threads appear to be overwhelming.

I cant remember the last time I saw a thread on the Splitpaw forums that wasnt recruitement related (guild looking for more or someone looking for a guild).

If they cut those threads out then the server forums will be totally non existant. They may as well consolidate the the database and get rid of the server sections completely and just have a recruitment section with thread for each server.
