ZW Kor-sha without twins...

Could definitely be higher, since on one of the statues a roamer added (slack pulling on my part), and I forgot to get a new stifle signet for the overking fight. Not had a full raid much recently though so this was the closest thing to a proper run this month :/ On single ruinic guards 6k+ is pretty easy if all raid buffs and debuffs are up.

Yeah, if you have te raid to do it as well. For a raid roster who do 30k its hard to get close to 5k as a guard imo. Exept by getting better equipement and helping my guildmates to play better their toons I don't see how I can upgrade my dps.

Did this thread die because no Guards can be bothered anymore, or because we don't want to get nerfed ;)

Only way to nerf us is to revamp the entire auto attack system, not like we are throwing down massive damage with our CAs. Most people probably don't post here because our high end DPS is very relative to the DPS of the raid. Not like it is a mystery once you get Mythical how to DPS.

It is when you don't have them, would like to see what kind of dps I would do in a HC raid guild =p

Facts are a HC raiding guild would take a guardian for *gasp* tanking, Vormav, not playing around wearing chain and leather for + crits .

Seriously, even if I loose 400+- mitig, whats the difference on the % in an OT group ? ;p
And also, I havn't tryed to be in a HC guild, the only guild that raid at 19h GMT -5 on Storms is Revelation, but because of that we have trouble to find HC gamers. We have loooots of casu -_-

There's no difference losing mit as MT either really. With all the mit buffs from yourself and your group losing 400 is gonna make jack all difference. It's been that way for a long time - the last time mit was really a stat to watch was KoS. As soon as they introduced diminishing returns curves with EoF, mitigation became pointless. I'm not saying I tank Trakanon in leather, but if I did, I really doubt the healers would notice a difference.

I don't think there's a 'correct' way to gear as a tank; some like to parse high, others prefer to get just enough DPS to hold aggro then get as much defensive stuff in as possible. Both have their merits - more DPS means faster zone clears, but if it's at the cost of a wipe, it's wasted. I try to balance the two by switching gear to suit the situation as most tanks do.

The hard and fast rule is that you need to hold aggro and not die. If you can do that you're doing your job. Once that's trivial all you really have left is to work on parses.
