Best is 4.4.8 agi sta str imho, but ya have to balance depending on your gear to optimize defense and offense till ya all decked out.

If you're constantly hitting over 2k with a buckler what is your raid dps? I've topped out around 1800-2k with good gear, masters, and a good raid setup..

This is with 30-40k raid dps. Highest we have seen is around 45k

I get some 2k+ zone wide parses but, on certain LONG fights where ya have to conserve or shit that drains ya, it hurts ya dps.

Im in offense stance almost full time.

with Assassin ya have to work lil harder on multi mob encounters but doable.

I love reading these kind of posts, but as a general request when you post parses anywhere, don't just list your dps parse. It really doesn't mean much out of context. It means a whole lot more when you include your raids dps as well. Thanks to those who did include both.

In a triple 4/4/8 dps spec I can see why zerkers don't bother with AGI in the warrior line and stay 4/4/8 INT... they have enough AE skills already. As a Guardian though, it's tempting, but do you find you get enough bang out of 4/48 AGI? It doesn't give you any kind of benefit worth noting when fighting single encounters, and probably is most noticeable on 3+ mob fights. How many of your fights that aren't fast dying trash clearing are multimob fights?

As you can see from Jaraxx's post, a 1h crushing (I'm guessing that's the GBH) hits from 600-2500. The fabled SOD is about the same as well. That's the same numbers that I see between crits and regular attacks with either weapon in offensive stance and a buckler.

TBH, most fights I wouldn't need AGI, so you're right, but I have no problems at all with single target aggro so I honestly see Int as somewhat useless.

What I had originally is what I would spec back to I suppose:

4/4/8 str, 4/4/8/8 sta, 4/5 int.

Aggro is completely solid though with my str/agi/sta spec, and only an extremely over-zealous warlock will peel. I like holding aggro on 95% of all fights, very satisfying. Vigilance & Friends (TM) is a casual raid force, so our zonewides never go over 30K, but I'm quite confident with the spec I have now, I could hold aggro quite easily right up to 35K. Hitting the four vamps in FTH each for 3K with a crit is badass!

I'll bitch at Azleya to post a breakdown of my dps. I can do a full parse this week of everything. With breakdowns of my dps and everything. I will tell you right now it goes up and down alot depending how many people we have on/healers. Like if we have all 21 on I'll be in offensive stance and using a 2 hander on Contested Mayong/Avatars. But I'm working with less then three groups on that shit I'll be in a tower shield and my parse will end up only being like 1k.

Regardless - my guild is very lazy and doesn't like to parse zws on our boards so i'll bitch at them and post them later this week - if I don't remind me with a pm I will.
MMIS is usually a very bad zone to show parses from. Using stakes on all the named will easily add several hundred dps to the guardians dps...but if you didn't use any stakes the dps is very nice.

Got a Chirat 2-hander last week and decided to test AGI line with it. Well ill never go back to buckler now. up to 8k crits from auto-attack, 3k parses on 4+ groups in FTH with 52k raid dps is awesome. 2.2k on trash-nameds in MMIS, 1.2+ on Mayongs, i like it really, cant wait for the second axe of war to drop for us and i'll take it this time.

Default Re: Guard DPS

From what i have been seeing with buckler versus the new DW changes...a good two hander or DW does more dmg then buckler anymore. Ive tanked all of MMIS named minus MM and almost every named in FTH minus treyloth DW offensive and im not decked like most tanks and pulled 1200-1800 without MM hammer or fabled SoD for main hand(normally leg SOD in MH and *insert weapon* in offhand...normally wurmy since i dont have anything else that was decent for DW).

But then again depending on the mob adn group make up i sometimes just stay buckler so i have block available if need be. Did 1500 ZW monday on CWM fight..personal best considering im basically geared in KoS fabled.
