Block/ToS stop the elemental on you if I remember right.

Our ST's stand at a 90deg angle to me and the raid anyway so I use recapture alot and then the SK/Pally eat it for me . Recently added a macro to it

/say Recaptured, all fighter hate positions increased.
/say GO GO GO Operation Human shield.

The only issue I have with it is the amount of time I'm stunned/stifled when I do have it on me, the KB not so much cos I keep him close to me at a wall till 15% anyway. Why would you Dragoons it since that would be even longer stifled than the actual hit anyway....

With the Int line boost, the recovery on Dragoons is not as long as the stifle. But, the gain would probably be minimal. Good point.

What about intercedes?

Whoever takes the hit takes the effect, so I'd have thought intercede would work.

That was my thought. Either way, I'll find out later this week.

The easiest way to avoid it is to use the anti-stun Signet. Start the fight with Sanctuary (if you have a templar), then use your signet when sanc runs out, then use a freedom of mind potion, then use sanc again as soon as it comes available again. You should be able to burn it down relatively quickly as long as you can keep it in the same spot.

The best way we found to fight him is up top in the corner to PB right. I have the Melee at the first wood pillar, casters in between the wood pillars, and healers beyong the casters at max range.
Place a swashy or assasin in MY group with Coercer,Dirge,Temp, and defiler. Raid can go baals out after about the first 10 secs me and the assasin generate agro.

We got this fight down to about 4-5mins. We have a dedicated trauma curer on me so i am not affected much with the stifle. The elemental is rough when first doin the fight but after you kill him a couple times you learn it really isnt that big a deal.

Keep ALL pets up, including god pets, sokukar,etc.. Keep dumbfires up at all times. This will absorb majority of the AoE stifles so the raid can focus on killing.

Can someone confirm, that he casts bloodlust on himself after someone dies and/or after a pet dies?

It seems that he has more bloodlust buffs on him when we use pets. We think it's from pets dying, so just wanted to be sure.

So do most of you allow your pet classes to have them up? Do you use Dumbfire pets?

This mob has been a royal pain

I could be nuts, but I thought folks said Bloodlust (and stacks) is cast just before Great Cleave.

I don't think so. I'm fairly confident that bloodlust is only put on him when he kills a player character. We tend to use pets/dumbfires on him to our advantage because of the memwipe, and I haven't noticed any real changes when he blasts the pets with that aoe.

We had trouble with him also the first few go-rounds until we changed our thought process up a bit. Pawbuster doesn't hit extraordinarily hard unless he's got all those "bloodlusts" on him. In fact, saying that two/three healers can heal any adequately geared chain or plate wearer when he's on them isn't a stretch at all. That being the case, we devoted three+ healers to cure duty alone (that's all they do). Also we decided that the longer the fight continues the more cluster fucked it gets with all the stifles and shit. So we devote three or more healers to curing and spot healing only and really stress as much dps as possible on him right off the bat so shorten the duration of this fight. We noticed much less deaths which = much less bloodlusts which = much shorter fight time which = much more dead Pawbuster.

With us using this strategy, that elemental has become a nuissance that we just put up with until he's dead.

We hit him up again last night and I was still getting stunned by the cleave when I hit block/ToS. The intercede didn't seem to help either. We ganked him but not sure any of the blocks worked to prevent the stun from cleave. And if they did, it was inconsistent at best.
