Default Re: Pawbuster's Elemental

We attempted Pawbuster our second time two nights ago. We've cleared both ToT and PR and we're doing 40-45k on trash in Executioner's Throneroom so the dps should be enough.

The problem we had was aggro. Tanks constantly lost aggro to the DPS classes (scouts and mages alike). On the first try we tried burning him down to 0% - not sure if that tactic works anymore. However at 7% tanks lost major aggro and he killed a few casters and bumped up to 20% life and we tried bringing him to the grate but the aggro was even worse there.

A few wipes after that we got a good 2nd try down to 30% and brought him to the grate. He bashed the grate a few times with his cleave, 4-5 times, but it would not budge.

On all of our tries, the tanks were loosing aggro quickly. We had 3 of them trying to tank him - one MT and the other 2 standing 90 degrees on his side. Raid 180 degrees from MT.

A few Q's:
1. Does he memwipe or is it just aggro loss because tanks are stifled with cleave?
2. Clerics' steadfast ability - is it always anti-stifle as long as they don't move? Or just a chance to be?
3. Tanks get knocked back at the grate from cleave. Anyway to deal with that? Or is it enough to have the tanks try and switch aggro all the time?

1) It's some form a hate reducing ability, although I'm a little skeptical that it's a full blown mem wipe.
2)Dunno about this, but I know that none of our clerics are specced this way. We discovered that his sifle hits the closes 18 people to him. That means that the 6 people farthest away won't get stifled. We actually use three healers as "cure bots" and just have them joust in and out to cure the raid as needed.
3) Nope. At the point where you move him to the grate, it's the entire raid's responsibility to control him and keep him on the grate.

Couple other things I'd like to mention...

1) You can't just burn him anymore, you have to drop him into the grate.
2) He has to be under 20% to break the grate, which he'll do after the third use of that massive hammer swing. Only when he's below 20% does he have the strength to damage the grate.

Thanks Chumann, didn't go as planned last night - were missing some key classes.
Still trying to figure out the best positioning and how to best hold aggro. The worst part is loosing aggro and then having him cleave right after that with him facing the raid.
