I'd emphasise the "while taunted" bit, to your cryptic response which I presume means intercede.

You do overking slightly differently if your DPSers are stacked on you which I guess explains it. Can see it working but I guess from our early attempts the assumption was he had a short range AE which we didn't want people stood in, and keeping him a short distance away from the raid has worked for us first pull since then, so we haven't bothered changing the approach.

Profit UI= easily intercede anyone in the raid force without having to target them.

You actually can remove overking summons entirely and then you don't even need to worry about interceding or rescue or anyone ever even remotely in danger of dying from a bad-timing of autoattack with a summons.

And no, stifling the adds is not how you do this -- the overking is the one doing the summoning, not the adds.

Thank you for the hints everyone provided... Last night we had our second attempt on the Overking, were still learning this encounter. I can tank the Overking no problem, thanks to having some wonderful healers.

The problem for us still lies with the adds and pulling the encounter. Our raid leader still swears pulling the Overking to the wall on the right side of his room in the little crevis (I believe North). Then supposeably after he hits 60% I am to run to the throne and tank him there (Still I am not sure why). We didn't have the best setup last night (Three bruisers, no SK, no Warlocks, and a Zerker Controlling the adds) I stayed on the Overking but a few of his adds always went on me.

Another question is should people be using DOT's if they aren't a offensive debuff? His Stiffle procs like crazy then. Keep in mind we only are using FP classes due to being on a PvP server. If you could offer any other tips/tricks it would be appreciated...

Yes, you can. It is possible to do the whole fight without any summons...

This is still your problem if you arent killing adds fast enuf, why would you want to cripple your DPS by spliting adds and OK? Seriously, tell your raid leader to read this post or something. There is like atleast 2 major WW guilds telling you not to pull him anywhere.

It is likely that your raid leader watched the Video of Rat Empire killing it on youtube. The strat you are descibing is how they did it in that video. Once you stop trying to copy how others do it and figure it out for yourself you will do much better
